The enhanced version of the Ypsilon, named HF Integrale, is set to participate in the WRC2 series.

Lancia has introduced the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, equipped with a widebody kit and rally-ready features. The AWD racer is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, adhering to Rally2 regulations. The price for fully built customer-spec cars will likely range from $230,000 to $350,000.

Although Lancia has not hit the sales targets it envisioned for the new Ypsilon, the brand is focusing on its historic passion: rallying. The latest development is the introduction of the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, designed to compete in the WRC2 category.

The new race car looks significantly more aggressive than the entry-level Ypsilon HF Racing and the mid-range Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, while still sporting a similar white, black, and red color scheme featuring the iconic red elephant.

The redesigned body kit boasts deeper bumpers, a vented hood with quick-release latches, wide fender flares, and a larger rear wing. Additional features include racing mirrors, a roof scoop, and white alloy wheels fitted with slick tires.

      Rally Heritage Showcased

The Integrale hasn’t made its rally debut yet, but it is adorned with a trophy list on the B-pillar that highlights Lancia's historical success, having won a remarkable 10 world championships between 1974 and 1992, thanks to the Stratos, 037, and不同的 iterations of the Delta.

Lancia's official announcement was concise, stating that the “new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale makes its debut, channeling the legendary spirit of Lancia’s rally victories into current motorsport. And this is only the beginning.”

      What’s Under the Hood?

While Lancia has not disclosed detailed specifications, it is known to meet the Rally2 guidelines. This indicates it will feature a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, a five-speed sequential gearbox, and a 4WD system with mechanical differentials. There is also a minimum weight requirement of 1,230 kg (2,712 lbs).

It is likely that the new Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale shares some components with its Stellantis sibling, the Citroen C3 Rally2, which debuted in 2018 and received technical upgrades in 2024. This model is based on the previous generation C3 and includes a similar body kit and a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine producing 282 bhp (210 kW / 285 PS).

      Anticipated Debut Next Year

Lancia will provide further information about the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale in due time. The vehicle is expected to compete in the second-tier category of the WRC next year, possibly making its debut at the season-opening Monte Carlo Rally in January. Rivals will include Rally2 versions of the Skoda Fabia RS, Hyundai i20N, Toyota GR Yaris, Ford Fiesta, and the Citroen C3.

Regarding pricing, Rally2-spec models typically range from €200,000-300,000 (approximately $230,000-350,000), making them considerably pricier than entry-level variants. The Ypsilon HF Racing has a starting price of €38,900 ($45,500), while the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF begins at €74,500 ($87,100).
