Honda Ridgeline Continues to Increase in Price While Aging | Carscoops

The pricing adjustments for the 2026 pickup come at a period when the Ridgeline is beginning to seem somewhat outdated in comparison to its competitors.

As of 2026, the Honda Ridgeline Sport has a starting price of $40,595, reflecting a $445 increase from the 2025 model.

The TrailSport trim now includes an optional Ash Green Metallic paint, which was first introduced with the Passport.

The Black Edition can now be configured with either a contrasting black roof or a roof that matches the body color.

Price increases are a common occurrence in the automotive industry, but Honda has subtly raised the ownership costs of its mid-size pickup. For 2026, all Ridgeline trims have a slightly higher MSRP, in addition to increased destination fees, even though the truck itself hasn’t undergone significant updates. For those seeking a good deal, it might be advisable to check dealership inventories for leftover 2025 models before they are sold out.

The base Ridgeline Sport now starts at $40,595, an increase from last year's price of $40,150. The mid-tier RTL has risen by $415, moving from $42,980 to $43,395, while the TrailSport experiences one of the more substantial price hikes, increasing by $1,415 from $44,380 to $45,795.

Updates to the TrailSport are mainly cosmetic, with the addition of an Ash Green Metallic option. This color was first seen on the 2026 Passport TrailSport and has now been added to the CR-V TrailSport Hybrid's color offerings.

The top model in the Ridgeline lineup, the Black Edition, now has an MSRP of $47,195, up from last year's $46,750. For 2026, the Black Edition can be ordered with a contrasting black roof, or the roof can be painted either Sonic Gray Pearl or Platinum White Pearl to match the outer body colors.

All of the listed prices do not include a $1,495 destination charge, which has increased by $45 from the previous year.

In August, Ridgeline sales fell by 9.4 percent compared to August 2024; however, overall sales momentum remains robust. In the first eight months of 2025, Honda sold 33,835 units, representing a 17.4 percent increase from the 29,100 sold during the same timeframe last year.

Honda has been manufacturing the second-generation Ridgeline since 2017, making it one of the older mid-size pickups currently available. Competitors such as the Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, and even newer entrants like the Hyundai Santa Cruz and Ford Maverick feature more modern designs. Although Honda has not confirmed plans for a third-generation model, a future Ridgeline could benefit from adopting the bolder and more angular styling seen on the latest Passport.
