The sale proceeds from this Daytona SP3 will support the educational programs of The Ferrari Foundation.

Ferrari constructed the last Daytona SP3 to generate funds for its eponymous foundation.

All sales proceeds will directly benefit The Ferrari Foundation and its educational projects.

Half of the exterior is painted yellow, while the other half showcases exposed carbon.

The 600th and final Ferrari Daytona SP3 has set a new auction record for a modern Prancing Horse, achieving an astonishing sale price of $26 million during Monterey Car Week. This amount exceeds the typical value of a Daytona SP3 by more than five times. However, before assuming that this reflects a buyer's imprudence, it's important to note that all proceeds are going to charity.

RM Sotheby’s collaborated with Ferrari to present this unique Daytona SP3 to the public, confirming that all funds from the sale will aid The Ferrari Foundation and its educational programs. Recently, the foundation contributed to the reconstruction of the Aveson Charter School in Altadena, California, which was destroyed by the Eaton Wildfire earlier this year.

In essence, although the Daytona SP3 technically sold for $26 million, this figure does not accurately reflect the car's market value. It's more accurately seen as a $26 million charitable contribution, from which the buyer happened to receive a multi-million-dollar Ferrari in return. This purchase will also provide a significant tax deduction for the new owner.

While the car itself may not be valued at the amount it sold for, it undoubtedly distinguishes itself from all other Daytona SP3s produced. One half of the vehicle is finished in Giallo Modena, while the other half features exposed carbon fiber. It is also outfitted with a unique interior that includes upholstery made from recycled tires and the same type of carbon fiber utilized in Formula 1 cars.

The powertrain remains as per the standard SP3, marked by its impressive performance. In this setup, Ferrari’s 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 generates 828 hp and 514 lb-ft (697 Nm) of torque, transmitted to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
