An extremely rare creation in Candy Purple from Gunther Werks combines carbon fiber, racing enhancements, and custom features.

Gunther Werks has unveiled its most exclusive 911-inspired model during Monterey Car Week.

The GWX is equipped with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine that generates 440 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque.

Almost every exterior panel is newly designed and crafted from carbon fiber to minimize weight.

Every restomodded Porsche 911 produced by Gunther Werks is a highly sought-after collector's item, and now, the company has taken its aspirations to new heights with the GWX, its most exclusive model to date. Launched at Monterey Car Week, the GWX is positioned at the pinnacle of Gunther Werks’ offerings. Only three units will be produced, and each will be available by invitation only.

Similar to other offerings from Gunther Werks, the GWX is based on the 993 model but incorporates the latest engine advancements from the company. This includes a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six that delivers 440 hp and 320 lb-ft (434 Nm) of torque. To enhance throttle response, it features sliding throttle body plates.

      All-Carbon Body Design

In terms of aesthetics, all projects from Gunther Werks boast striking designs, and the GWX stands out as no exception. It may well be the most visually appealing car the California firm has ever produced, with nearly every exterior component being entirely new, all made from carbon fiber. This encompasses the flared front fenders, custom side skirts, new rear quarter panels, and the hood.

Setting the GWX further apart are its race-inspired features, including a distinctive front bumper, a specially designed rear bumper and diffuser, and a prominent rear wing that hosts a ram air scoop integrated into the decklid.

      Unique Characteristics

The showcased GWX is identified as the Alpha Spec, adorned in a unique Candy Purple hue developed in-house by Gunther Werks. It also features silver pinstriping along with several exposed herringbone carbon fiber details throughout the exterior, including the hood and roof.

The interior is equally impressive, highlighting carbon fiber-backed bucket seats wrapped in black and white leather, an elegant Alcantara three-spoke steering wheel, a completely refurbished carbon fiber dashboard, and a Porsche Classic audio system. While the company has shared limited information regarding available options, it is likely that customers will have the ability to customize nearly every aspect of the vehicle.

“Our new GWX takes all we've learned from remastering the Porsche 911 platform and elevates it even further,” said Peter Nam, the company's CEO and founder. “We are thrilled to present this pinnacle of performance to our most loyal clients and continue to demonstrate our technical expertise with our latest offerings.”

Pricing information has not been made public, but with only three models to be produced, it can be assumed that the GWX will carry a significant price tag.
