      This scene is somewhat familiar, as Monterey Car Week annually gathers the most prominent figures in the automotive world, attracting millions of affluent car enthusiasts. Last year, nine cars found themselves pulled over together after CHP decided to issue tickets.

      Traffic Stops in Focus

      "Car Week is here, Drive Safe, Monterey County," stated CHP Monterey in a Tuesday post, which included a photo of the five cars stopped in interaction with law enforcement. Among them, we see a Mercedes-Benz SLS coupe, a Mercedes-Benz SL-Class, a Lamborghini Diablo, a Porsche 911 (possibly a slantnose), and a Lamborghini Aventador.

      To further capture attention, the CHP announced that it is closely monitoring for "reckless and unsafe driving." These five drivers were reportedly speeding, although their legal representatives might contest this claim. The department also offered some guidance for its social media followers.

      The post went on with a more general warning: "Whether you’re a tourist taking in the sights or a local dealing with busier roads, remember: reckless driving and speeding put everyone in danger. Slow down, drive respectfully, and help keep Monterey County’s roads safe for everyone," it read. Clearly, the CHP will have plenty to oversee.
