A traditional American sports car undergoes a surprising European transformation with exotic features and significant power.

The German tuner has rebuilt a C1 Corvette by using components from three different generations of Corvettes.

This vehicle is mounted on a custom chassis co-developed with the Technical University of Munich.

Power is supplied by a 6.2-liter GM V8 that generates 433 horsepower, driving the rear wheels.

While numerous Chevrolet Corvette restomods originate from the United States, European specialists are also quietly raising the standards. Among them is the German racing team Pogea Racing, known for reimagining first-generation Corvettes.

Through their POGEAclassics division, the company has recently completed another impressive project that blends classic American aesthetics with contemporary engineering and a thoroughly modernized interior. If you’re considering a Corvette restomod, it’s worth exploring what is being crafted in Europe.

When Pogea acquired this C1, they discovered that the original structure had been altered and merged with components from 1958 and 1959 Corvettes. They then embarked on an extensive process to rebuild and re-engineer the vehicle from the ground up, using a newly designed tubular chassis developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich and SRIII Motorsports. The original engine was also removed and replaced with fully adjustable QA1 coilover suspension.

      Updated Power and Components

The factory drivetrain has been substituted with a modern 6.2-liter GM V8 producing 433 horsepower, coupled with a 4L65E automatic transmission that directs power to the rear wheels. A custom stainless steel exhaust system enhances the powertrain, providing a deeper and more refined sound that complements its upgraded performance.

A proper restomod requires a modern braking system, which is precisely what this car features. It incorporates components from C4, C5, and C6 Corvettes, including C5 calipers and a C4 brake booster. The vehicle is fitted with forged 19-inch wheels clad in fresh Michelin tires.

Extensive work has also been done on the vehicle's exterior. It is now finished in a mix of Ferrari's Rosso Corsa and Audi's Ibis White, with all chrome trim having been re-plated. A new soft top enhances the freshly painted body.

Inside, the renovation is equally comprehensive. Red Lamborghini leather and white Rolls-Royce hides adorn much of the cabin, along with custom side panels, door cards, and interior trim. Digital gauges from Dakota Digital and a new head unit featuring a JL Audio amplifier complete the upgrades, offering both vintage appeal and modern comfort.

Pogea has not disclosed the cost of this specific project, but the company indicates that they already have two more C1 builds in progress. If this example is any indication, they will be worth keeping an eye on.
