A rare Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 with low delivery mileage has been damaged by fire.
Despite significant exterior damage, the car is still operational.
At present, at least one bidder is prepared to offer $70,500 for the burnt vehicle.
In the realm of high-performance muscle cars, few models have generated as much excitement as the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 did in late 2022 and early 2023. With nearly unbelievable performance capabilities, it quickly became a coveted item for both collectors and enthusiasts.
If models like the Hellcat and original Demon were wild, the Demon 170 was undeniably extreme. Consequently, many were quickly purchased and preserved as treasured belongings. Unfortunately for at least one owner, luck did not favor them.

The vehicle displayed here is listed at a salvage auction and is expected to sell for a significant sum, despite the extensive fire damage evident on every panel. The rear quarter panels appear to be the least affected, as some paint remains visible. The rear taillights also seem to be intact, unlike the front ones, which are missing. The roof and windows seem to be in good condition; however, the interior is particularly surprising.
Many surfaces still bear the plastic coverings from the Dodge factory, including the front seat, steering wheel, and gear shift. From the limited angles visible, it appears that the fire did not affect the interior at all.
Perhaps most crucially, the auction house states that this car runs and is driveable. Images of the engine compartment reveal that it resembles any standard Demon 170 setup. Although it's not flawless, the flames did not appear to inflict much damage.
Currently, the highest bid stands at $70,500, which is about half of the MSRP for this vehicle when it was new. Given that it has only 16 miles on the odometer, it is clear why there is potential for turning this already scorched car into something extraordinary. Perhaps we will soon see it showcased on a YouTube channel.
