The FX Super One from Faraday Future is an electrified minivan that leverages AI technology.
While it is built on a Chinese model, it boasts unique tech features such as the F.A.C.E system.
The aim is to attract buyers away from full-size SUVs by providing both BEV and EREV powertrain options.
In a saturated EV market filled with hype and ambitious startups, Faraday Future continues to seek attention, although often more focused on survival than innovation. Although the company has delivered only 16 units of its FF 91 since 2023, with new funding secured and a commitment to redefining transportation, it is now focusing on a new concept: a tech-rich minivan aimed at mainstream consumers.
With $105 million in newly acquired funding, the electric vehicle startup has unveiled the FX Super One, a minivan that heavily emphasizes AI integration and digital innovation.

The new model was introduced at a special event at Faraday Future's headquarters in California. It is marketed as an “affordable mass market MPV,” designed to feature a spacious, well-designed interior with high-quality materials and a variety of advanced features.
Built on Chinese Foundations
Rather than being an entirely original design, the FX Super One is based on the Wey Gaoshan minivan from Chinese manufacturer Great Wall Motors. Despite sharing a platform, the FX Super One includes several updates specific to Faraday: a redesigned front end, black accents, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a notably new AI-powered digital grille.
This grille incorporates what the company refers to as the Front AI Communication Ecosystem, or F.A.C.E., which goes beyond simply displaying emojis or motivational messages. When parked, F.A.C.E. can engage with passengers via voice recognition, visual prompts, and responsive communication, providing an experience similar to having a conversational co-pilot. For those who prefer a traditional appearance, a conventional grille option will also be available.
Central to this interactivity is Faraday Future’s proprietary EAI Embodied Intelligence AI Agent 6×4 Architecture. This system manages everything from the digital grille to infotainment controls, voice-command functions, and the full suite of advanced driver assistance systems.
Technology, Comfort, and Customization
The interior of the FX Super One will be available in configurations for four, six, or seven seats across two or three rows. The four-seat variant, known as the GOAT Edition, features several luxury enhancements, including a retractable panoramic display, a Dolby Atmos sound system, and Faraday’s upgraded Super AP platform. Special attention is given to comfort, featuring zero-gravity seating and high-quality materials designed for long journeys.
Beneath the surface, the minivan employs a high-strength steel frame likely derived from the Wey Gaoshan, yet modified for Faraday’s electric-first strategy. Initially, the FX Super One will be offered with a fully electric powertrain that includes dual electric motors and standard all-wheel drive. Subsequently, Faraday will introduce what it refers to as an “AI Hybrid Extended Range” variant, which appears to follow the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) formula.
Aiming for the Escalade
The extended version of its minivan counterpart from Great Wall measures 5,405 mm (212.8 inches) in length, with a wheelbase of 3,275 mm (128.9 inches). This positions it directly against full-size SUVs, including the Cadillac Escalade, which was cited as a key competitor despite having “less interior space, no sliding doors, and no AI integration.”

The intended audience for the FX Super One encompasses celebrities, visionaries, hardworking professionals, and regular families. Among the user scenarios highlighted in the presentation are a star's encounter at a red carpet, a mobile livestream studio, a vehicle for elite athletes, a mobile AI office or private clubhouse, a golfer’s car, a mobile mansion, and a glamper’s vehicle.
If all goes as planned, and that’s a significant if, the FX Super One is expected to launch in early 2026. The model will be manufactured at the Faraday Future facility in Hanford, California, reportedly utilizing 50% locally-sourced parts. Faraday Future has not disclosed pricing but is currently accepting pre-orders with a refundable deposit of $100.
The FX Super One is not the only new model in the pipeline from Faraday Future. The company has also revealed the FX 4, which is anticipated to compete with the affordable Tesla Model Y, along with the FX 5, a spacious sporty AIEV, and the FX 6
