Porsche, in collaboration with Manthey, seems to be developing an extreme electric vehicle aimed at dominating race circuits.

The prototype is reportedly based on the Taycan Turbo GT equipped with the Weissach package.

It features numerous components derived from the Manthey Kit available for the 911 GT3 RS.

The Porsche Taycan range includes three models and a staggering 22 variants. A new addition may be on the way, as spy photographers have captured a high-performance prototype being tested at the Nürburgring.

Allegedly driven by racing driver Lars Kern, the prototype appears to stem from the Taycan Turbo GT. Modifications include altered air intakes and concealed air curtains, complemented by canards and widened wheel arches, suggesting a widebody design.

Upon closer inspection, we also notice top-mounted front fender vents along with various components inspired by the Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS. Among these are rear aerodiscs and an aerodynamic element positioned behind the front wheels, along with a large diffuser and what seems to be a slightly modified wing.

All indicators point to Porsche developing a high-performance model that merges features from the Weissach package with a new Manthey Kit. This could lead to the creation of the most extreme and track-focused Taycan to date.

Additionally, we can expect a high price tag, as the current Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package starts at $239,400. It comes equipped with a 97 kWh battery that powers an enhanced dual-motor all-wheel-drive system generating 777 hp (580 kW / 788 PS). Using Overboost and Launch Control, this model can achieve up to 1,019 hp (760 kW / 1,033 PS) and 914 lb-ft (1,238 Nm) of torque.

This performance allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in an impressive 2.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h). Moreover, it can complete a quarter-mile in just 9.4 seconds.
