AC Schnitzer enhances BMW's latest SUV with bold aerodynamic modifications and a lower height.

The interior alterations are minor, featuring only an aluminum footrest and a custom keyholder.

There are currently no engine modifications, but performance software may be available in future updates.

BMW’s fourth-generation X3 has yet to introduce a high-performance M variant, but AC Schnitzer has stepped in to add some flair to the luxury SUV. The well-known BMW tuning company has delivered a thoughtful visual enhancement for the latest X3, enhancing its styling with both subtle and confidently aggressive elements.

The modifications start at the front. While AC Schnitzer has not replaced the large kidney grilles that are characteristic of BMW's recent design, it has cleaned up the X3’s aesthetic with a new front splitter and more prominent side skirts. A rear wing sits on the roof, extending outward with enough drama to attract attention without appearing exaggerated.

AC Schnitzer also provides a selection of 9 different wheel options for the X3, available in 19, 21, and 22 inches. Buyers seeking to differentiate their vehicle can add 10 mm (0.4-inch) wheel spacers at each corner, ensuring the new wheels fit well within the wheel arches. Alongside the new wheels, dedicated lowering springs are available for the 20 xDrive, 20d xDrive, 40d xDrive, and M50 xDrive models, reducing the ride height by 25 mm (1 inch) all around.

Inside, the updates are more subtle. The main additions are an aluminum footrest and a newly designed keyholder, which, while minor, still contribute to the overall package.

Since the new X3 is relatively fresh on the market, it's probable that additional interior and performance enhancements will be introduced later. At this point, however, there haven't been any announcements regarding engine tuning or software upgrades.

The upgrades available aren't exactly inexpensive. The lowering springs cost up to €539 ($632). If you desire the full wheel and tire package, anticipate spending as much as €5,590 ($6,555). The front splitter alone is priced at €1,790 ($2,099), while the side skirts cost €790 ($926), and the rear wing is available for €519 ($608). AC Schnitzer may not be completely transforming the X3, but it's providing enough enhancements to help it stand out, though at a significant cost.
