The police apprehended the Mustang driver after they collided with both a Nissan and a Chevy.
Authorities subsequently located the C8 Corvette and impounded it for 30 days.
Security camera footage from Vacaville, California, documented the incident where a C8 Chevrolet Corvette and an S550 Ford Mustang rapidly navigated a right-hand turn, resulting in one of them crashing into a Nissan that was stopped at the intersection. Can you guess if it was the Corvette or the Mustang that was involved in the crash? No? Didn't think so…
The collision took place in late May, but it has only recently come to our attention. Local officials reported that the driver of the black Mustang and the silver Corvette accelerated down the Cliffside Drive off-ramp from I-80, heading toward an intersection at high speed.

The footage reveals that as the Mustang driver initiated the turn, the car began to understeer, crashing directly into the side of a Nissan at the traffic signal. To worsen matters for the Mustang driver, it then collided with a Chevy sedan before finally coming to a stop in the middle of the road. In contrast, the Corvette made the turn successfully, although the driver did drift into a turning lane on the opposite side of the road.
Authorities arrested the 22-year-old Mustang driver while responding to the crash. Meanwhile, the Corvette driver continued driving away from the scene. Police were able to locate the ‘Vette driver the following week and impounded the car for 30 days.
Clearly, the Mustang driver approached the corner with excessive speed, leaving the tires unable to maintain sufficient traction. Additionally, it appears that a significant bump right before the turn disrupted the car's balance.
