Ram is hinting at an upcoming reveal on June 8, suggesting significant news regarding products or powertrains.
The video includes vague messages and subtle hints, igniting speculation about a potential return of the V8 engine.
Sources indicate that a new TRX with a Hemi V8 is currently under development for the 2026 model year.
Ram appears to be making efforts to regain the favor of truck buyers, seemingly paying more attention to their preferences. Following a difficult transition away from V8 engines last year, the brand seems poised to change direction. One reported strategy involves bringing back the iconic Hemi. Ram is teasing that “big things are on the horizon,” with an unveiling scheduled for June 8.
It's no secret that Ram has a lot in store. Back in April, the company announced plans to introduce 25 new models, including various trims, over the next year and a half. They've even stated that the first of these will make its debut on June 8. The teaser video shared below is the first glimpse we have into what this might entail.

The brief clip released by Ram bears the message, “Fire up the engines – Big things are on the horizon. 06.08.25.” It features newly appointed CEO Tim Kuniskis conversing with Dave Sparks from the TV show Diesel Brothers. As they stand by a table filled with snacks and coffee, an individual dressed in what appears to be fighter-pilot gear approaches.
“Excuse me guys,” he says while grabbing a cookie, commenting on it, and complimenting Kuniskis on his ‘nice jacket.’ The clip is very brief and, unlike many previous teasers from Stellantis, doesn’t provide any clear indication of what is coming.
Nevertheless, the ongoing buzz about the TRX is so pronounced that it’s hard to overlook the connection. Everything reported here at Carscoops suggests that Stellantis is already manufacturing new Hemi V8 engines for Ram 1500 production, primarily focusing on the 5.7-liter version.
Additionally, YouTuber ButtaDaInsider has reported that leaked internal documents have confirmed the TRX for the 2026 model year. If accurate, this would be a major boost for the brand's public image. Furthermore, the presence of Sparks in this clip might imply that Ram is working on something larger or additional to the TRX.
We speculate that a high-powered diesel Ram could potentially receive a prehistoric name that aligns well with the brand. What are your thoughts? Is this the right direction for Ram? Share your opinions below!
