The new Tempest edition positions the Land Rover Discovery within the price range of the Range Rover Sport.

Two new Discovery variants introduce distinctive styling, upgraded trim, and specially curated accessory packages.

The Tempest enhances luxury with copper accents, 22-inch wheels, and a unique roof design.

Accessory bundles cater to specific lifestyles with items like ski racks, media holders, and sunshades.

Recently, the Land Rover Discovery marked its 35th anniversary, and in celebration, the company has launched two new special editions named Tempest and Gemini, showcasing that it can still innovate.

The Tempest is advertised as the “most luxurious, comfortable, and well-equipped Discovery ever created.” It certainly stands out with its Charente Grey, Carpathian Grey, or Varesine Blue exterior complemented by a contrasting Petra Copper Gloss roof. It also features copper accents and unique badging.

The model is equipped with exclusive 22-inch wheels that have gloss black details and a Petra Copper tinted lacquer finish. Additionally, Land Rover has included special puddle lights that project a circular graphic onto the ground.

While the company hasn’t provided extensive details about the interior, it does feature Ebony Windsor leather and Shadow Aluminum trim, along with special treadplates and rear climate controls.

The Discovery Gemini takes a different approach, available in six colors, including Sedona Red, which is exclusive to this edition. It features a Narvik Gloss Black roof and Atlas Gloss accents. Other notable features include 21-inch wheels and puddle lights with a hexagonal graphic.

The interior appears similar to that of the Tempest, and Land Rover mentions a four-zone climate control system, front cooler, special treadplates, and distinctive trim.

Alongside the two special editions, the Discovery is receiving several updates, particularly the S and Dynamic SE, which now offer “enhanced specifications.” While details are limited, Land Rover confirmed the addition of new 21- and 22-inch wheel options.

The company also rolled out several curated accessory packages. The Beach Days pack includes a collapsible organizer, sunshade, and roof rack suitable for canoes or surfboards.

The Snow Days pack targets ski enthusiasts, featuring crossbars for skis and snowboards, along with side steps and rubber floor mats.

Finally, the Road Trip package comes with rear Click & Play media holders for laptops and tablets, as well as a sunshade, crossbars, and a roof-mounted storage box.

The 2026 Land Rover Discovery is now available, with prices in the U.S. starting at $60,200. The Gemini is priced at $70,800, while the Tempest has a cost of $83,500.

      The S and Dynamic SE models are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 296 hp (221 kW / 300 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Higher-end models feature a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine producing 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque.
