Honda has unveiled the 2026 HR-V, which includes enhancements in styling and interior design.
This crossover is now equipped with new wheels and a larger infotainment system.
The starting price is $26,200, and it is powered by a four-cylinder engine generating 158 hp.
The Honda HR-V is the most favored crossover among Gen-Z buyers in America and is set to receive some exciting upgrades for 2026. These enhancements include a variety of styling and equipment modifications, but they come with an $800 price increase.
On the exterior, new 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels have been introduced. The top EX-L trim stands out for having larger 18-inch wheels for 2026.
Additionally, the entry-level HR-V LX now includes rear privacy glass, moving it away from a "bargain basement" vibe. The Sport trim features gloss black badging, while the color options have been refreshed with Boost Blue Pearl and Solar Reflection Metallic.
The previous 7-inch infotainment system has been replaced; the LX and Sport now offer a 9-inch display that boasts a quicker processor, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Honda has also made a wireless smartphone charger standard equipment.
The HR-V EX-L has not been overlooked, as its steering wheel now features "sophisticated" silver spokes. Other updates include new front footwell lighting and a climate control knob that lights up in red, white, and blue.
While these updates are the extent of the changes, the 2026 HR-V is equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an audio system that can range from four to eight speakers. Buyers will also receive the Honda Sensing package, which includes driver assistance features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition, along with Auto High-Beam Headlights, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Collision Mitigation Braking.
All HR-V models are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 158 hp (118 kW / 160 PS) and 138 lb-ft (187 Nm) of torque. This is paired with a continuously variable transmission and can be optioned with an all-wheel-drive system for an extra $1,500. In terms of fuel efficiency, the vehicle achieves up to 26 mpg in the city, 32 mpg on the highway, and a combined 28 mpg.
The 2026 Honda HR-V is starting to arrive at U.S. dealerships, with a base price of $26,200, plus a $1,395 destination charge.
