Audi's Newest Entry-Level Model Delivers 577 HP | Carscoops
The new e-tron GT quattro will be launched later this year and promises impressive performance.
Audi has unveiled a new entry-level version of the e-tron GT, called the quattro.
This model comes with 20-inch wheels, black accents, and a minimally equipped interior.
It is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that generates up to 577 hp.
Audi is expanding its e-tron GT range with the addition of a new entry-level trim, which will debut in Europe. Named the quattro, this variant is positioned below the sportier S, RS, and RS Performance models, making it a more budget-friendly choice.
Though Audi provided limited details about the vehicle, it features a body-colored Singleframe grille with a black surround. Buyers will also appreciate the Matrix LED headlights, a black diffuser, and black-finished 20-inch wheels, along with mirror caps available in either black or carbon.
The interior boasts a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.1-inch infotainment display. Additional features include heated sport seats, a heated sport steering wheel, a panoramic glass sunroof, and a ten-speaker sound system. Audi mentioned that there is a reasonable amount of storage space, with a trunk and frunk providing 14.3 cubic feet (405 liters) and 2.7 cubic feet (77 liters) of capacity, respectively.
The car is equipped with a 105 kWh (usable: 97 kWh) battery pack, powering a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that produces 496 hp (370 kW / 503 PS) or 577 hp (430 kW / 585 PS) with Launch Control. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in approximately four seconds. In comparison, the S e-tron quattro offers up to 671 hp (500 kW / 680 PS) with Launch Control, achieving the same 0-62 time in 3.4 seconds.
In addition to its speed, the e-tron GT quattro is 66.1 lbs (30 kg) lighter than the S variant and can travel up to 387 miles (622 km) on a single charge. When the battery runs low, drivers will benefit from the 320 kW DC fast charging capability, which can provide up to 177 miles (285 km) of range in just ten minutes.
Orders are now being accepted, with German prices starting at €108,900 (approximately $118,000 at current exchange rates), a significant reduction from the previous entry-level S e-tron GT, which began at €126,000 ($141,000). In the United Kingdom, the quattro is set to be available in August, priced at £88,555 ($111,000). It will also come in a more premium-equipped Vorsprung variant for £108,055 ($134,000).
