Pink G-Wagen Appears Striking on the Outside and Even More Impressive on the Inside | Carscoops
The tuner implemented significant modifications both inside and out, giving the G-Class a unique, albeit somewhat divisive, persona.
Carlex has reimagined the Mercedes G-Class with a nostalgic flair, incorporating chrome accents and custom body features.
The tailored interior showcases pink leather, Alcantara, and subtle white contrasting details.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has always had a knack for attracting attention, yet that hasn't deterred aftermarket tuners from attempting to enhance its spectacle even further. Last year, Carlex Design entered the scene with their 'Vintage' G-Wagens, providing the contemporary off-roader with a noticeable retro appeal.
This particular version, coated in a gentle pink hue, may not appeal to everyone, but its surprisingly understated execution makes it work more effectively than anticipated.
Referred to as the Carlex Rose Vintage, this special edition features a distinctive body kit that is pleasantly more restrained compared to many of the more flamboyant G-Class modifications available. This is a welcomed adjustment as the G-Wagen already garners considerable attention, and some of the oversized tuners tend to do nothing more than attract attention for the sake of it.
The front of the G-Class Vintage includes a chrome bumper, push bar, a new grille, and the tuner’s logo instead of the traditional three-pointed star. Flared wheel arches are standard, and the rear also features a chrome bumper.
The Two-Tone Throwback
The paint job is where the vehicle truly begins to shine. The lower body is finished in a gentle pink shade, while the upper half is white. It also comes with a set of retro wheels that have pink centers, chrome spokes, and whitewall tires. Carlex’s spare wheel carrier completes the design, perfectly mirroring the shape and finish of the actual wheels.
Inside the Barbie Dream Cabin
Naturally, Carlex didn’t stop at the exterior. If the outside alone isn’t enough to immerse you in a Barbie-like experience, the interior certainly will. Pink leather, matching the exterior's hue, now adorns nearly all interior surfaces, including the seats, steering wheel, dashboard, door panels, and even the trunk lining. Additional features of the cabin include pink Alcantara on the headliner, white contrast stitching, and subtle white leather accents on the center console.
So, does a pastel-pink, retro-styled Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen appeal to you, or would you prefer the understated dominance of a factory model? If you do lean towards the tuner's version, would you opt for this pink color or something more conventional? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
