For those who viewed Aston’s latest flagship grand tourer and thought it had a bit too much roof, a convertible version is now available.
The 2026 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante allows you to enjoy the breeze and the sound of its V12 engine, featuring the same 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 as the coupe, delivering 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 214 mph, making it the fastest and most powerful front-engine convertible currently on the market.
To clarify the numbers, it has a 0-60 time that is 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe, while maintaining the same top speed. Due to the roof, the Vanquish Volante weighs 234 pounds more than the coupe, coming in at 4,145 pounds dry. Additionally, it offers less cargo space, with the trunk measuring 7.7 cubic feet with the top up, which is 0.7 cubic feet less than the fixed-roof model.
However, you'll quickly forget about those details with the abundance of headroom and sunlight available. The roof, controlled by a metal switch on the center console, opens in 14 seconds and closes in 16 seconds, and can be operated while driving up to 31 mph.
The rest of the Volante is equally serious as a driving machine as the standard Vanquish. It features a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission located at the rear axle for enhanced weight distribution, and its electronic rear differential can shift from fully open to fully locked in just 135 milliseconds. It comes equipped with Bilstein DTX dampers all around and standard carbon ceramic brakes. The suspension tuning is reportedly different from the coupe to accommodate the weight distribution changes.
Aston Martin has yet to officially announce the pricing, but the coupe starts at $429,000, and the convertible is expected to be around $468,000. The first deliveries of the Vanquish Volante are anticipated in Q3 2025.
