The range of exciting car-related items you can create with a 3D printer has expanded. You can print die-cast models by downloading files from various sources, and now there's also a roughly 1/64-scale garage-shaped key holder (complete with moving parts!) that you can hang on a wall.
This little garage, available on a site called Cults for only $2.40, is specifically designed to accommodate Hot Wheels-sized cars. It's quite detailed, featuring a brick-like texture on both sides and a garage door that appears wooden. The highlight is a pivoting mechanism attached to a key holder; place a key on the hook, and the weight causes the garage door to open, revealing the 1/64-scale car of your choice.
No matter what you decide to place inside, this is a fantastic way to display your keys. It becomes even more exciting if you find a scale model of your own car. For instance, you could place the Hot Wheels Alfa Romeo GTV6 in the garage that holds the keys to your GTV6. If you have multiple vehicles, consider printing a garage for each set of keys and matching a model for every one. This way, you won't have to dig through a bowl (or in my case, a valve cover from a Citroën 2CV’s flat-twin engine) to locate the keys for the car you wish to drive that day, and the garage serves as a unique home decor item.

There are various methods to print the garage. You can opt to download a single file that contains all the designs necessary to print the entire structure, or you can select to download separate files. Additionally, you can choose from different finishes for the sides of the garage. As for the car, you'll need to search on your own; you might discover your vehicle within the extensive catalogs of Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Tomica, or Majorette. If not, you can always print it yourself!
