Hooded Elderly Woman Sprays Cars with Paint Stripper Before Departing with a Foul Surprise | Carscoops
The elderly car owners are baffled as to why they are being targeted by the woman, who remains unnamed by the authorities.
A strange case of vandalism took place at the residence of an elderly couple in Essex, UK.
A hooded elderly woman inflicted significant damage on their cars by applying paint stripper to them.
Months later, the still-unknown suspect returned, filling their mailbox with feces.
While vandals often resort to extreme measures to create havoc, this elderly woman in Essex took it to an entirely different level. In a series of increasingly odd incidents, she focused on the vehicles of two seniors, causing substantial damage, which was just the start. Months later, she acted again, presenting a very unpleasant surprise for the couple.
These unusual events took place in the tranquil village of Hockley, Essex, where Ken and Diane Lott reside. In April 2024, after returning from a holiday, the 81-year-old couple discovered that their two vehicles, a Skoda Yeti SUV and a Renault Grand Scenic minivan, had been badly vandalized while parked in their driveway.
The cars had been treated with paint stripper, resulting in severe damage to their exteriors. In addition to the paint stripper, parts of the vehicles were covered in black spray paint, and insulation foam had been forcefully injected into their exhaust pipes. The damage was so extensive that both cars had to be declared a total loss.
Eventually, CCTV footage emerged showing the perpetrator, a hooded figure who seemed to be an elderly woman. Despite this evidence, authorities, as reported by Metro, have been unable to identify the suspect, leaving the couple confused as to why they were specifically targeted.
A Second Incident: A Disturbing Surprise
Months later, upon returning from another trip, the couple encountered yet another disturbing surprise. Someone had stuffed a “manure-type substance” into their mailbox and glued a key in their front door lock. Fortunately, their vehicle, a Mini Roadster, was unharmed this time.
A security camera positioned at the front door once again captured the suspect's face, indicating it was likely the same woman responsible for the initial vandalism. The couple’s daughter, Essex musician Julie Jive, has raised concerns that the vandal might be monitoring their travel schedule, possibly keeping track of when they are away on vacation.
To stop this strange pattern of vandalism, Essex Police have released a photo of the suspect. They describe her as someone “they would like to speak to” and are eager to resolve this case. Perhaps we will eventually learn why this hooded grandmother has targeted these unfortunate retirees.
