Mxtrem asserts that its Maverick bodykit will be available for the Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06 models.

The eccentric rendering features extravagant wings and faux jet thrusters at the back.

The European designer has even included fake missiles at both the front and rear.

Mxtrem claims they will provide the kit for the standard Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06.

Just when you thought your inbox could not get any more desperate, filled with pitches from fuel additives that promise to turn your car into a neutron star and “entrepreneurs” posing beside rented Lamborghinis with stock photos so poorly conceived that even the watermark appears embarrassed, the Maverick emerges. It resembles an 8-year-old’s fever dream of a Corvette dressed as an F/A-18 fighter jet.

And indeed, a “European company” called Mxtrem insists they’re aiming to craft 12 of these worldwide. They even pledge a prototype by May, seemingly hoping to outpace Elon Musk’s legendary flying Roadster. This, of course, is contingent on Musk’s Roadster existing outside of quarterly results videos, which arguably makes it suitable competition for the Maverick.

There’s something to be said for the childish enthusiasm we all share for this absurdity. However, regarding the “company” behind it? That’s a different matter. Mxtrem’s website doesn’t provide an address, and their press release vaguely identifies them as “a newly established European company with a skilled team that possesses over 20 years of experience in designing and producing bespoke carbon fiber automobiles.” Precisely which part of Europe? That’s a good question. We reached out and will update you if they respond. Additionally, they have an Instagram account that is only a day old.

For what it’s worth, up until at least July 2024, the same website was associated with “MIISHANY,” a creator who was busy producing 3D NFT renders that bear a striking resemblance to the Maverick, but intended for the Metaverse. Coincidence? Your guess is as good as ours.

      Fighter Jet Fever Dream

We’ve seen cars influenced by fighter jets before, like the Lamborghini Reventon. However, that Lambo doesn't compare in extremity to the Maverick. Every component of the Corvette has been digitally altered with new carbon fiber panels aimed to imitate jet features.

The nose features a sharply designed new bumper that houses significant air intakes complete with miniature missile replicas typical under a jet's wings. Mxtrem has also incorporated unique air louvers on the front quarter panels and modified the rear haunches of the ‘Vette. There are fresh intakes, jet-inspired wings, and two vertical fins resembling those of an F/A-18. Additionally, there are faux jet thrusters in the back, extra fake missiles, and an audacious diffuser.

The interior is equally extravagant. Mxtrem plans to reshape the steering wheel into a jet-style yoke by removing its top and bottom. They also intend to replace one of the cupholders with a replica joystick, as nothing screams “daily driver” like simulating missile launches during rush hour.

Details regarding their European location or the price of this fever dream? Apparently not significant. However, they did mention it will be available for the Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06 models. Naturally, given all these unresolved questions, it's entirely possible that this concept will remain in the digital realm.
