For Sale: Brand New 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec II Nür | Carscoops
A nearly untouched example of one of the most sought-after Nissan Skylines is up for sale.
The R34 V Spec II Nür has a mere 225 miles on the odometer and is in immaculate condition.
It is listed in Japan for $485,000 but won't be eligible for road use in the U.S. until 2027.
As the final and fastest model in Nissan's Skyline GT-R lineup, the R34 commands significant respect and high prices in the used market, especially in the coveted limited edition V Spec II Nür trim. Only 718 Nürs were produced, and while they do occasionally surface for sale, few are like this one, which has traveled an astonishing 225 miles (362 km) since new.
Named after Germany's Nürburgring race track, the Nür boasts a specialized RB26DETT engine, a race-inspired inline-six enhanced with components from the N1 GT-R. It was listed at 276 hp (280 PS), but the actual output is widely known to be much higher, providing room for tuners to maximize performance.
Equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive, and an active limited-slip differential, the Nür represents the pinnacle of road-worthy R34s. However, some model enthusiasts believe the even rarer M Spec Nür (with only 285 units made), featuring unique ripple control dampers, a leather interior, and lower production figures, holds greater appeal.
Our reporting includes just one other Nür with less mileage—a white model with only 6 miles (10 km) available for sale in 2021. Although the mileage on this green vehicle is not as low, it is verified, and even without that assurance, the impeccable condition of both the exterior and interior supports the claim. Carefully stored for 23 years, it serves as a time capsule of Nissan GT-R engineering at its finest.
The gleaming Millennium Jade paint looks as if it has just come off the production line, and the interior displays no signs of use. According to the seller, it even carries the scent of a new car, reflecting its exceptional maintenance.
Offered by specialized dealer JDM Expo, this R34 is an extraordinary find, commanding a price that reflects its rarity and condition. Any Nür typically starts at a minimum of $200,000, but this particular vehicle is listed for $485,000 due to its pristine state and uniqueness.
This classic is thus well beyond the budget of most collectors. Additionally, if the new owner wishes to actually drive it, it’s important to note that its 2002 production year means it cannot be imported to the U.S. for road use until 2027.
