The Tank 300 has undergone a dramatic Brabus-style transformation thanks to Thai tuner Shana E-Sport, featuring faux quad exhausts, a striking interior, and a price that surprises.

Thai tuner Shana E-Sport has given the Tank 300 a Mercedes-inspired redesign.

The SUV now sports a bodykit reminiscent of a G-Class, heavily influenced by Brabus.

Despite its bold appearance, there have been no enhancements to its powertrain.

The Mercedes-AMG G63 has long been an emblem of bold, unapologetic style in off-roading circles, and with assistance from tuners like Brabus or Mansory, its visual presence only intensifies. However, for those seeking a similar aesthetic without the hefty price tag typical of supercars, choices are limited.

For some, a tastefully modified Suzuki Jimny might suffice, yet it often doesn't meet the desires of those looking for a larger and more robust alternative. Enter a new option.

A custom shop in Thailand, Shana E-Sport, has found a way to bring Brabus vibes into a more accessible package. The key? A well-camouflaged Chinese SUV known as the Tank 300, produced by Great Wall Motors, which already boasts the boxy proportions and upright stance that make this transformation surprisingly effective.

G-Class Drama Without the Price Tag

The exterior revamp begins with a comprehensive facelift. The original Tank 300 front end is replaced with a redesigned grille, round LED headlights, a vented hood, and a sporty bumper that features AMG-style intakes and a splitter.

Boxy fenders with retro-style indicators emphasize the classic silhouette, while Brabus-inspired fender flares and fake vents enhance the overall appearance.

At the rear, the tuner added a sportier back bumper complete with an integrated diffuser, roof spoiler, and a custom spare wheel cover. Depending on the buyer's preferences, it can include quad tailpipes or exhausts positioned to mimic the original G63.

The entire vehicle is fitted with 22-inch aftermarket alloy wheels encased in robust, all-terrain tires. Buyers also have the option of suspension upgrades and larger brake kits.

      Copycat Cabin with Unique Features

Inside, the Tank 300 heavily incorporates Mercedes design elements. The layout features a recognizable twin-screen digital cockpit, turbine-style climate vents, and a general structure that feels strikingly close to that of a Stuttgart model. However, Shana E-Sport is not hesitant to enhance it further.

One of their signature builds showcases a turquoise leather interior enhanced with forged carbon accents, illuminated and power-deploying side steps, soft-close doors, and a hands-free tailgate.

      Performance Where the Illusion Ceases

Mechanically, the situation is quite different. The Tank 300 maintains its factory hybrid configuration, which includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a single electric motor. This combination delivers a respectable output of around 350 hp to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. While it certainly pales in comparison to the Brabus G63's twin-turbo V8, that isn’t the primary attraction here.

      The Cost of Pretending

What is more important for most buyers is the price. Shana E-Sport estimates that a complete G63-style conversion of the Tank 300 costs around 2,500,000 Baht, or approximately $79,800, including the base vehicle.

The base model itself is priced around 1,800,000 Baht ($57,500). Other estimates suggest that just the conversion work could reach about 1,080,000 Baht ($34,500), depending on the degree of customization.

It’s still a considerable expense for a replica, but it’s far less than the six-figure price range of the genuine article, which can range from $300,000 to over $700,000 based on specifications and market taxes.

Based on the videos and updates on Shana E-Sport’s social media, it appears that this concept is already resonating with an increasing number of buyers in Thailand.
