Confirmed: Nissan’s Updated Z Will Be Available in America

      Nissan has announced that it’s preparing to refresh the Z model, as revealed on Friday during the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon. This will mark the first significant update to the turbocharged sports coupe since its relaunch in 2022, although, as is common with such updates, it won't be extensive. Given how long the 370Z remained nearly unchanged, we’re not inclined to dismiss this interim improvement, regardless of its scale. Currently, details are scarce, but one thing is certain: It’s on its way.

      “Yes, the refreshed Z will be available in the U.S. at a later date,” said Nissan spokesperson Joshua Clifton to The Drive.

      Here’s a glimpse of its new look. If you weren’t a fan of the previous grille, there’s good news: you can leave that behind. The redesigned front end aligns better with the Z’s sharply contoured hood, seamlessly extending that line into the front bumper. The new 10-spoke wheels and green color finish are also noteworthy additions.

      As reported by Motor1, the updated Z will feature some mechanical enhancements, including a revised suspension with new shocks and what appears to be braking improvements for both the standard Z and Nismo versions.

      The manual transmission will remain available, and the engine tuning for stick-shift models is being modified to enhance both speed and responsiveness.

      Nissan will unveil the updated Z in Japan later this year, with its release in global markets to follow. While the exact arrival date in the U.S. is still unclear, we can confirm that it is indeed coming.
