Honda's 2026 Pilot Saw Minimal Changes, But the Price Increased Significantly | Carscoops

The 2026 Pilot undergoes a subtle redesign, receives technological updates, and sees a price increase across all trims, which includes higher destination fees.

Honda has raised the pricing on the refreshed 2026 Pilot for most configurations. The base Sport 2WD now starts at $43,690, including destination charges. All trims feature larger screens, 5G connectivity, CarPlay, and enhancements in safety.

The 2026 Honda Pilot comes with a few aesthetic adjustments, beneficial tech enhancements, and, as expected, a higher price tag. The entry-level Pilot Sport 2WD will cost buyers a minimum of $43,690 in the United States, destination fees included.

For context, the previous year’s baseline Pilot had a starting price of $41,650. In conjunction with the increased MSRP, Honda has quietly raised the destination fee from $1,450 to $1,495. The 2026 lineup consists of the EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, Elite, and Black Edition trims.

Choosing all-wheel drive for the base Sport now totals $45,790, up from last year's $43,750. The EX-L 2WD price increases to $45,990, while the AWD version rises to $48,090, reflecting a similar increase from their 2025 prices of $44,950 and $47,050, respectively.

The Touring 2WD has been removed for 2026, making it available only in AWD, priced from $52,590, increasing from $51,050. The TrailSport AWD price goes from $50,850 to $51,890, the Elite AWD is raised from $54,530 to $54,990, and the Black Edition is now priced at $56,490, up from $56,030 the previous year.

      2026 Updates

Though the price increases may not please everyone, Honda has implemented some updates beyond the visual changes. All trims now include a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 5G WiFi capability, a quieter interior, a power tailgate, roof rails, and a Post-Collision Braking system.

Additionally, the electric power steering system has been fine-tuned, which Honda claims will enhance feedback and precision; however, test drives will ultimately determine the effectiveness of this modification.

The powertrain remains unchanged, with the Pilot continuing to utilize Honda’s 3.5-liter V6 engine, generating 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is still the only option available. The first units of the updated model are already reaching dealerships.
