Ford enhances the Ranger Super Duty lineup by adding a premium XLT trim and a new Pick-Up style.
The XLT trim includes leather seats, heating and ventilation, carpets, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
In the Australian market, the flagship Pick-Up XLT starts at AU$99,990 (US$65,600).
While the new Ranger Super Duty has not yet arrived in Australian dealerships, Ford is already expanding its offerings. The company has confirmed that the highest-performing version of its midsize truck will soon be available in the premium XLT trim before customers can experience it.
Additionally, a more lifestyle-oriented pickup design has been integrated alongside the existing work-focused chassis cab options, appealing to both trade professionals and leisure users.
Ford stated that the XLT trim introduces "touring-focused refinement" to the Ranger Super Duty, aiming at "recreational off-roaders." Notable features include 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, carpet flooring, and all-weather mats.
The XLT is offered in both the standard Double Cab chassis design and the new Pick-up body style. The latter comes with a factory-fitted tub behind the four-door cabin, featuring wide fender extensions that align with the rugged front end design.
Ford has also revealed new options for the truck, including the Traction Green exterior color, an 8.9-inch digital rearview mirror, canopies with Dual Lift or Lift & Slide sides, and an Aeroklas Twin in-bed drawer system. Additional options include a more basic commercial canopy, rock sliders, and a dual battery system.
No matter the configuration, the Ranger Super Duty excels with a towing capacity of 4,500 kg (9,921 pounds), placing it in line with the F-150 and setting a standard in the midsize pickup segment.
The Ranger Super Duty lineup features an improved chassis and suspension, providing wider tracks and increased ground clearance. This lift, coupled with a standard snorkel and sturdier tires, enables a wading depth of 850 mm (33.5 inches).
The truck is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel with specialized tuning that produces 207 hp (154 kW / 209 PS) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. Power is distributed to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4WD system equipped with front and rear differential locks.
**How Much Does It Cost?**
The Ranger Super Duty Double Cab Pick-Up pricing begins at AU$93,990 (US$61,600), while the top-tier XLT trim reaches AU$99,990 (US$65,600). The most expensive version of the Super Duty starts at AU$82,990 (US$54,400) for the entry-level Single Cab-Chassis trim.
Ford is now accepting orders for the Ranger Super Duty in Australia, with the first deliveries anticipated in mid-2026. Currently, there are no plans for the enhanced truck to be sold in North America or Europe.
Regarding the new XLT, Ambrose Henderson, Marketing Director at Ford Australia, mentioned:
“This is the truck designed for customers who need to tow a heavy work trailer or carry substantial payloads during the week but want to pack up the tub and venture off-road with family on weekends. It effectively fills the gap between a dedicated workhorse and a premium touring vehicle, allowing owners to work hard and enjoy leisure time without compromise.”
