The SP40 reinterprets the 1934 Ford Model 40, crafted by Iconic Auto Sports.

It is powered by a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine generating over 480 horsepower.

The use of carbon fiber panels and a spaceframe structure helps keep its weight at 2,623 lbs.

The unique vehicle you see is named the SP40, and while its title may evoke thoughts of Ferrari’s Special Projects lineup, this car originates from a completely different realm.

Developed by Iconic Auto Sports, the SP40 Restomod Speedster pays tribute to the 1934 Ford Model 40, re-envisioned with contemporary engineering and a unique custom style.

Beneath the SP40 lies a specially designed tubular spaceframe chassis created by Argentine engineer Pedro Campo. Iconic Auto Sports has equipped it with a Ford 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine producing over 480 hp, paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

Given the SP40's low profile and the fact that its bodywork is entirely crafted from carbon fiber, it's unsurprising that it is quite lightweight. The car weighs just 1,190 kg (2,623 lbs) and features independent double-wishbone suspension along with adjustable coilovers, enhancing the driving experience.

It is also fitted with Brembo brakes at all four wheels.

The displayed model comes in a subtle black finish, but the Argentine company has stated that each SP40 will be built according to the owner's specific preferences, ensuring that no two vehicles will look identical.

Only a few images of the interior have been made public so far, revealing a lavish cabin adorned with leather, deep bucket seats, and wooden accents on the dashboard. Similar to the exterior, the interior can be tailored with various materials, allowing owners to customize the car's ambiance to their liking.

While there is an increasing presence of high-end, low-production vehicles from niche brands, the SP40 stands out as a unique offering. It has a low stance reminiscent of a rat rod, yet its sleek carbon-fiber exterior gives it a more luxurious appeal. It also features modern touches, including circular LED headlights.

There are no details regarding the price of the SP40, but it is available in the United States through Iconic Auto Sport’s Miami, Florida office.
