The Mustang Boss 429 has made a comeback, and its price tag exceeds that of a new Ferrari | Carscoops
Although it appears true to the original, the Revology Mustang is entirely new.
Revology has reimagined the 1969 Boss 429 with a supercharged V8 producing 710HP.
The modern chassis, aluminum subframes, and advanced technology give it a fresh identity.
The retro design conceals luxurious materials, exquisite finishes, and contemporary dependability.
Introducing the Revology Boss 429, a vehicle that seamlessly merges the past with the present, achieving this more convincingly than nearly any other restomod available. It can be viewed as a 1969 Ford Mustang revitalized for the 21st century, resembling a classic while operating with the sophistication of a modern automobile.
This goes beyond a simple restoration; it has been re-engineered from the ground up to combine modern power and handling with the distinctive design and feel of the original model from the late 1960s.
The new Boss 429 features a new chassis equipped with aluminum subframes and a revamped suspension system, including double wishbones at the front and a three-link rear suspension.
The original Mustang Boss 429 was powered by a 429-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8 generating 375 hp, a legendary engine known for its displacement and boldness. However, Revology opted not to merely update that engine.
Instead, they replaced it with Ford’s modern supercharged 5.0-liter Coyote V8, a choice that adds refinement, reliability, and significant power.
As anticipated, the supercharged Coyote engine is much stronger, delivering 710 hp and can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. Naturally, all the power is directed to the rear wheels.
Moving on to the design, Revology’s version looks nearly identical to the original, although all the steel body panels are completely new. This body has been constructed using automated spot welding, seam-welded joints, and heat-cured structural adhesive, making it much more rigid than a standard model.
The show car boasts a vibrant Lava Orange finish taken from the Porsche color palette.
The interior has been entirely reconstructed, adorned with high-quality white leather on the seats and door panels. It features black leather on the dashboard, steering wheel, and transmission tunnel, complemented by wood accents on the dash and doors.
“The Boss 429 is one of the rarest and most sought-after muscle cars ever produced,” remarked Tom Scarpello, founder and CEO of Revology Cars. “The Revology Boss 429 is not just a replica of that iconic model; it redefines it by utilizing modern technology, engineering, and manufacturing processes to ensure it’s as reliable and enjoyable to drive as it is appealing to behold.”
Indeed, it comes at a hefty price.
Revology has not disclosed how many units of the Mustang Boss 429 it intends to produce in the coming years, but it is known that half of next year’s production capacity of 50 units has already been sold. To emphasize its exclusivity, prices start at $395,000.
