Even Rolls-Royce Is Now Offering EV Discounts As If It Were A Kia | Carscoops
The luxury automobile manufacturer has introduced a leasing credit for its $422,000 electric vehicle, but it is unlikely to significantly impact its affluent customers.
Rolls-Royce has announced a lease credit specifically for the 2025–26 Spectre models.
This incentive replaces the lapsed $7,500 federal EV tax credit.
Other luxury brands are also offering similar promotional deals.
One might assume that Rolls-Royce would be one of the last manufacturers to offer discounts, yet it has joined the ongoing EV incentive trend. With federal tax credits now expired in the United States – which previously applied to all leased EVs, regardless of origin – the brand is now providing a $5,000 lease credit on the Spectre.
Review: The Rolls-Royce Spectre Is Currently the Pinnacle of EVs
Considering the vehicle’s starting price of $422,000, this gesture seems somewhat humorous. The discount feels more like a mere allowance for optional features rather than a genuine savings opportunity.
Most Rolls-Royce customers typically invest significant amounts into customizing their vehicles, a practice that has historically been a strong profit source for the BMW-owned brand.
As reported by Cars Direct, this incentive was mentioned in a recent bulletin sent to dealers by Rolls-Royce. It applies to leased 2025 and 2026 Spectres through November 30.
The brand has discreetly reduced the lease offer from $7,500 to $5,000, with financing at an effective interest rate of around 4.6 percent APR.
Even with this credit, the U.S. version of the Spectre is still priced higher than it was during the prior $7,500 federal EV tax credit period. This benefit, like the current lease credit, was not available for outright purchases of the vehicle.
The all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre has been included in the lineup since 2023 and is now available in two variants. The standard model generates 577 hp (430 kW / 584 PS), while the Black Badge variant increases power to 650 hp (485 kW / 659 PS), making it the most powerful offering from Goodwood to date. Both models are equipped with a 120 kWh battery, delivering up to 266 miles (428 km) of range with 23-inch wheels.
Discounted EVs from Luxury Brands
While a $5,000 discount on a Rolls-Royce may not entice prospective buyers, other luxury automakers are expressing greater enthusiasm regarding incentives.
For example, Maserati has introduced a significant $50,000 incentive for those purchasing or leasing the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Folgore models, along with a $25,000 discount on the Grecale Folgore SUV.
Meanwhile, Aston Martin is aiming to reduce excess inventory in the U.S. by launching a series of incentives across its range, despite not having any electric vehicles available in its showrooms.
The discounts include $15,000 off the Vanquish, $12,000 off the DBX 707, $10,000 off the DB12, and $7,000 off the Vantage. These offers are applicable to both purchases and leases.
