Drawing inspiration from the EXP 15 concept, the next Flying Spur features a striking front design.
Bentley is postponing its full transition to electric vehicles, continuing to offer hybrids and combustion engines.
The interior will blend classic luxury with modern technology, including a display roof and augmented reality headliner.
Like many automakers reassessing their electric goals, Bentley is slowing its pace towards an all-electric lineup. The luxury British brand has revised its timeline, now targeting a fully electric range by 2035, pushing back from an earlier date.
Instead, the company will maintain the production of internal combustion engine vehicles and introduce more hybrid models to adapt to changing market demands and regulatory requirements.
The new generation of the Flying Spur sedan will likely embody this strategic shift, providing hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric options. While details about the large Bentley are still scarce, we have gathered all known information to date, including a visual preview of its anticipated appearance.
Impressive Design

Earlier this year, the British luxury brand introduced its EXP 15 fastback concept, giving a sneak peek into the future design direction for its electric models. Some of the concept’s less contentious features are expected to transition to the next Flying Spur sedan as well.
Beginning with the front, our analysis showcases a rectangular version of Bentley’s iconic upright grille, paired with a color-coded lattice structure and illuminated backlighting. The previous ovoid themes have been replaced by sleek vertical LED headlamps that enhance a distinctly geometric and upright profile.
The concept’s extended bonnet and sloping rear roofline are likely to carry over into production, as will the pronounced shoulder line leading into the rear haunches. Frameless windows contribute to a streamlined look; however, flush door handles may be omitted due to anticipated safety regulation changes.
At the rear, a slim halo-style OLED taillight cluster is integrated within a smooth panel, complemented by a minimalist diffuser and active aerodynamic elements. A contoured decklid with a subtle lip spoiler will reinforce a sporty appearance.
A Luxurious Interior
The cabin of the EXP 15 Concept is anticipated to influence all future Bentley models.
Inside, the cabin will probably reflect the style of the EXP 15 (excluding its distinctive three-seat layout), emphasizing traditional luxury alongside digital sophistication. Notable features may consist of a curved windshield that transitions into a display roof with adjustable opacity, complemented by a retractable digital headliner for augmented reality features.
The dashboard could showcase a flexible, wing-shaped design with backlit wooden veneer and dual OLED displays, along with tactile knurled controls and haptic surfaces.
Additional elements may consist of an 87-inch augmented reality head-up display and AI-powered voice assistance. Rear passengers will enjoy a range of luxury features, including reclining massage seats, ambient lighting, fold-out tables, and modular display pods.
Powertrain Options
In terms of powertrains, we may witness a revival of the pure internal combustion engine (ICE) alongside plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and electric vehicle (EV) versions. The ICE variant will likely employ an updated twin-turbo V8 delivering between 600 and 700 horsepower, along with over 664 pounds-feet (900 Nm) of torque.
The PHEV version is expected to use a carryover V8 engine paired with a rear electric motor and a 25.9 kWh battery, yielding a combined output of over 771 hp and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque, distributed to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Shared with the forthcoming Porsche Cayenne electric, the full EV model could achieve as much as 1,000 horsepower and feature a 113 kWh battery pack (with wireless charging), offering a range of nearly 370 miles (595 km).
Competitors and Debut
As the Flying Spur operates at the pinnacle of the luxury sedan market, it is aimed at affluent buyers willing to spend. Key rivals include the more opulent Rolls-Royce Ghost, the slightly more accessible Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, and even Huawei’s new Maextro S800 in China.
Further details about the Flying Spur are expected in the upcoming months as Bentley articulates its future plans. A reveal is anticipated in late 2026 or early 2027.
