The latest Navara is set to launch in November, marking the end of the long-running D24 model.
It will utilize the Mitsubishi Triton chassis while showcasing Nissan-specific design elements.
The lineup will include a Pro-4X Warrior trim and a potential NISMO variant.
Update: In a little over a week, we will finally see one of the new Navara pickup models in development, which is part of a wider range designed to offer unique variations for different markets under the same name.
However, before the official reveal, digital artist Nikita Chuyko from Kolesa has already pieced together Nissan's subtle teasers, providing us with a convincing sneak peek of what to expect.

Since this version of the next-generation Navara will be available in various Asian markets, Australia, and select locations globally, sharing its base with the Mitsubishi Triton means its overall design is not a mystery.
Compared to the Triton, most visual updates appear at the front, where the Navara features a distinctly Nissan aesthetic. The rear retains the Triton’s taillight shape but introduces notable differences such as a black fascia on the tailgate and the model name embedded in the metal.

After over ten years on the market, the D24 Nissan Navara is about to be retired. The Japanese manufacturer has confirmed that its long-standing midsize pickup will pave the way for an entirely new generation, which is set to debut on November 19 in Australia and New Zealand.
However, this is just one of many Navara models being developed or sold internationally, with nothing beyond the nameplate shared among them. This particular version hinted at here is based on Mitsubishi foundations and is unrelated to the upcoming South American Navara or the Chinese Frontier Pro.

The announcement included a teaser video that showcases the Navara’s heritage in the Oceania region. It also offers an initial look at the new model, which will have a sibling relationship with the Mitsubishi Triton.
The teaser suggests the new Navara will incorporate multiple elements from the Triton, although Nissan asserts it will “integrate design features that honor earlier generations.”
Nissan-specific design elements are expected to encompass unique LED graphics on the split headlights and taillights, a sculpted hood, a fresh grille, and a reworked front bumper.
A sports bar is also visible, implying that the version showcased belongs to a higher trim level. The range is anticipated to comprise chassis, single-, and dual-cab configurations to cater to both commercial and recreational consumers.

Platform and Powertrains
The truck will be built on the ladder-frame chassis of the Mitsubishi introduced in 2023. However, Nissan executives have indicated plans for substantial alterations to the design and engineering, aiming to further set the models apart for prospective buyers.
Power is likely to be supplied by a 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine generating 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS), similar to the Triton’s output. A plug-in hybrid version is also reportedly in development, in line with the increasing trend towards electrified pickups.

Nissan also intends to launch a rugged Pro-4X Warrior edition created in collaboration with Premcar, with a NISMO-branded model also under consideration.
The next-generation Navara is expected to be released in Australia and New Zealand in the first half of 2026. Since its regional launch in December 1986, Nissan has sold over 420,000 units in Oceania. It remains uncertain if the new model will be available in other markets.
Meanwhile, South America is slated to receive its own Navara soon, although this model seems to be a refreshed version of the existing truck introduced in 2014.
The Japanese truck will compete against the Toyota Hilux, which is also set to launch a new generation next year, and the Ford Ranger, the best-selling model in Australia. Other competitors include the VW Amarok, Kia Tasman, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, JAC T9, MGU9, GWM Cannon Ute, and BY
