Mitsubishi is preparing to unveil a novel concept vehicle in Tokyo.

The teaser showcases a futuristic rear design alongside robust off-road aesthetics.

Inside, there’s a double bed and roof lighting, perfect for glamping.

While Mitsubishi is currently busy rebranding Renault models in Europe, the scenario appears different at home. Leading up to the Japan Mobility Show, the company has teased an electric crossover that combines off-road toughness with an interior intended for relaxation and sleeping.

The unnamed concept features a sharply designed rear end with a full-width LED light strip and no rear glass, plus a distinctive structural brace underneath. Chunky tires, pronounced fenders, and dark plastic cladding accentuate its off-road capabilities.

An earlier image highlighted the interior, which includes a sizable double bed situated under a roof illuminated by ambient lighting with a subtle sci-fi touch. Mitsubishi describes it as “a spacious interior providing a lavish in-car sleeping environment that transforms any location into a glamping haven.”

The concept also introduces customization options aimed at catering to various lifestyles, hinting at a cabin layout that is more versatile than the typical SUV.

Overall, the model seems larger than the D:X Concept presented at the 2023 event and could offer a glimpse of a forthcoming production SUV.

      What Else Will Mitsubishi Showcase?

Mitsubishi’s exhibit will also display the new Delica Mini and eK Space kei cars, as well as the current Outlander PHEV SUV and Delica D:5 minivan. They will be joined by the Triton Rally Car that emerged victorious in the 2025 Asia Cross Country Rally.

In another section of the show, the automaker plans to showcase several classic models, including a 1985 Pajero from Dakar, a 1996 Lancer Evo III from the WRC, and the 2014 MiEV Evolution III from Pikes Peak.

We anticipate Mitsubishi will provide more information about the concept as its official unveiling approaches at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 on October 30.
