The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer have been consolidated into a single model, featuring a refreshed exterior, an upgraded interior, and an entirely new powertrain.
Jeep has unveiled the 2026 Grand Wagoneer, with a starting price of $62,145.
This updated model combines both the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer into one.
It boasts a redesigned front fascia and introduces a new range-extender powertrain.
Long before the emergence of the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator, the Grand Wagoneer was a leader in its class. Given its heritage and Jeep’s upscale ambitions, Stellantis believed they had a strong contender when reviving the model in 2021.
However, things did not unfold as anticipated, leading to a complete overhaul of the Wagoneer lineup for 2026. As part of this transformation, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are evolving into one model that showcases a refreshed design and an innovative range-extender powertrain.
More Modern Design
The new design was previewed earlier this summer, closely inspired by the electric Wagoneer S. This redesign features an entirely new front end with a sleek seven-slot grille. It’s illuminated and seamlessly flows into the new headlights.
Below, there's a more defined central intake bordered by new T-shaped LED daytime running lights. Moreover, the Wagoneer badge on the hood has been replaced with a Jeep logo.
The overall design remains mostly unchanged, but includes new full-width LED taillights and revised rear Jeep badging. The model eliminates chrome accents and includes redesigned wheels that range from 18 to 22 inches.
Minor Interior Updates
Jeep has made only slight mentions of interior modifications, yet higher-end versions now come with a new heads-up display that offers a "significantly larger field of view and a virtual image distance twice that of previous versions."
The Grand Wagoneer also receives a larger 12-inch Uconnect5 infotainment system, replacing the previous 10.1-inch display that was standard on the Wagoneer.
An All-New Range-Extender Powertrain
Under the hood, the vehicle features a well-known twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine generating 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 468 lb-ft (635 Nm) of torque. Unfortunately, the high-output variant that produced 540 hp (402 kW / 548 PS) and 521 lb-ft (706 Nm) has been removed.
The significant addition is a new range-extender version called the Grand Wagoneer REEV. It shares much with the Ram 1500 REV, previously referred to as the Ramcharger, incorporating a 92 kWh battery pack along with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that functions as a generator.
This model is expected to be the fastest and most powerful Grand Wagoneer ever, with an estimated combined output of 647 hp (482 kW / 656 PS) and 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) of torque.
This performance will allow the SUV to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just five seconds, achieving a range exceeding 500 miles (805 km).
Production of the 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is set to commence later this year, followed by the range-extender variant, which will have "late availability," with further details expected as the launch date approaches.
