Toyota has unveiled additional information regarding its extensive lineup for the forthcoming Japan Mobility Show 2025, promising a diverse array of premieres throughout its offerings. Central to the showcase is a new concept that seems to suggest the next evolution for one of the brand’s best-selling and most enduring nameplates, the Corolla.

This concept first emerged in a teaser campaign titled “To You, Toyota,” building anticipation for its complete debut in Tokyo later this month. At first glance, it has minimal similarities to the existing 12th-generation Corolla.
Instead, it displays sharp, contemporary lines and proportions more aligned with an electric vehicle, indicating a new design path for the well-known compact, similar to what Toyota accomplished with the latest Prius generation.
A Sharp Exterior Design
The front reveals a refined interpretation of Toyota’s hammerhead design, with full-width LED headlights combining horizontal and vertical lighting elements. The traditional grille is absent, replaced by a narrow lower intake on the bumper and a discreet vent at the base of the windshield.
From the side, the vehicle presents itself as a sleek four-door sedan that could carry on the Corolla legacy. The front fenders seem to accommodate a charging port near a new vertical accent below the mirrors. Other key features include a sloping window line, sculpted side panels, and standard door handles.
The rear view highlights a clean, integrated ducktail spoiler extending from the sloping roof. Bold shoulders lead to full-width taillights with pixel-like illumination, while “Corolla” lettering is displayed across the flat tailgate. The rear bumper creates depth with a sculpted finish and a centrally positioned license plate.
Toyota has not yet disclosed any specific information regarding the concept’s powertrain.
More Concepts in the Spotlight
In addition to the main reveal, Toyota is also teasing a series of other intriguing concepts. These include vibrant, futuristic vehicles for children, a tennis-capable mobility device for individuals with disabilities, spider-like transporters for goods transportation, and a streamlined cab-over pickup designed for developing markets.
