I have a soft spot for Dodge Dart owners. Although I don't know any of them personally, even after I playfully critiqued their vehicles, they responded with nothing but grace. The community, or brotherhood, represented by the Dart has expanded by another six this year, thanks to some unsold cars that have apparently been lingering for nearly nine years.
It's pretty surprising that Dodge dealers sold a Dart that was “just” six years old, but what's truly astonishing isn’t that one sold in 2025; that also occurred last year. No, what has us stunned is that they managed to sell six in a single quarter. Where did they come from?
Were they tucked away behind a line of unsold Journeys or something? That's only partly a joke; Dodge sold one of those earlier this year as well.
This makes me curious: How many Darts are still out there? Since Dodge's official inventory search only covers 2024 and 2025 models, it’s impossible to look for cars that were discontinued back in 2016. Obama was still in office when these cars were shipped to dealers. Incredible.
If you know of a brand-new Dart still lurking in dealer inventory, send us a tip at [email protected].
