When it comes to supercar manufacturers that fully embrace their more adventurous side, Lamborghini certainly stands out. The Italian brand has consistently delighted its affluent clientele with unique creations like the recent Fenomeno and shows no intention of slowing down. There are already hints of upcoming surprises across its main lineup, which includes the Urus, Temerario, and Revuelto.
Federico Foschini, Lamborghini’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, shared some insights about what's ahead. He highlighted the success of models like the high-performance Huracan STO and the elevated Huracan Sterrato, calling them “immense opportunities” for the company. He explained that the positive reception has inspired Lamborghini to contemplate even more radical designs for future models.
Foschini expressed particular excitement about the Sterrato when speaking to Autocar: “I think we haven't fully taken advantage of this opportunity, as there’s so much you can do with the Sterrato. I believe we can definitely introduce this opportunity in the future.”
He further noted that there’s a market ready for such offerings, and Lamborghini’s goal is to “execute” another project akin to the Sterrato. The intention is to go beyond a mere upgrade and instead present fans with an unexpected twist. This signifies that the Sterrato concept might not only apply to the new Temerario, which is set to replace the Huracan, but also to the flagship Revuelto.
Our imaginative rendering of a future Revuelto Sterrato provides a preview of how such a supercar might appear. It features protective cladding on the bumpers, skirts, and fenders, along with additional LEDs illuminating the front. Roof rails, a roof scoop, increased ground clearance, and alloy wheels adapted from the Urus complete the redesign.
The Revuelto comes equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a naturally aspirated V12 with three electric motors to deliver a total of 1,001 hp (747 kW / 1,015 PS). A lifted Sterrato-style version likely wouldn’t require more power, but Lamborghini may be working on a hotter edition similar to the Aventador SVJ, which could include enhanced aerodynamics as well as chassis and performance upgrades.
The Revuelto isn't the only Lamborghini model being considered for unique enhancements. Foschini affirmed that the brand is “always searching for outrageous ideas in all segments,” pointing out the Urus ST-X race car as an example of how ambitious concepts can reach production. This could indicate that even more extreme variants of Lamborghini’s SUV are planned for the future.
Regarding the Temerario, there are discussions of a more powerful version that could exceed 1,000 horsepower using an upgraded plug-in hybrid V8 powertrain. Additionally, the lineup may expand with the introduction of an entry-level RWD variant featuring a downgraded hybrid configuration.
Ultimately, beyond developing more model derivatives like Porsche, Lamborghini is investing in the expanded customization services of its Ad Personam division to boost profitability while maintaining exclusivity.
