This unique 2006 Zonda F was reconfigured into a 760 series model in 2017 and is anticipated to sell for nearly or over $10 million at auction in December.
The one-of-a-kind Zonda Riviera originated from a 2006 Zonda F and boasts a naturally aspirated 7.3-liter V12 engine that produces 750 hp. It has only been driven 564 miles since its purchase and is scarcely used.
The Pagani Zonda has emerged as one of the most coveted exotic cars of the 21st century, and later this year, the Riviera may fetch as much as $10.5 million. If it does, this would represent an increase of nearly $5 million over its last recorded sale price, indicating that models like this are increasing in value at a rate comparable to McLaren F1s.
The Riviera, which initially started as a 2006 Zonda F, underwent a transformation at Pagani’s factory in 2017, becoming one of the firm's many bespoke 760 series models. Given its limited usage, having only logged 908 km (564 miles), RM Sotheby’s estimates it will sell for between $9.5 million and $10.5 million.
What sets it apart? To begin with, the exterior design is unique among Zonda models. It features a metallic white finish with royal blue accents gracing the hood, roof scoop, doors, and rear end. It also includes blue-painted brake calipers and corresponding blue details on black wheels.
As part of the 760 series transformation, Pagani added flared carbon fiber front wheel arches, a roof scoop reminiscent of the famed Zonda Cinque, and numerous exposed carbon fiber components. Additionally, the 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 was enhanced, generating 750 hp delivered to the rear wheels via a sequential transmission with paddle shifters.
This will not be the Riviera's debut at auction. In late 2019, it was sold by Silverstone Auctions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for $5.5 million. Since then, it seems to have stayed in the Middle East and will be auctioned again in December, this time in Abu Dhabi, where it is set to establish a new benchmark for Zonda pricing.
