Multiple Lexus models, including the LS, RX, and TX, have also been included in the recall.

Toyota and Lexus are recalling 591,000 vehicles due to potential failures in digital instrument clusters.

Fifteen models from the years 2023 to 2025 are part of the recall, although not all vehicles are affected.

The dashboard displays can go blank either when starting up or while driving, which increases the risk of accidents.

Modern cars are a delight for technology enthusiasts, but the introduction of new features can lead to potential issues and malfunctions. This situation has arisen for Toyota, as nearly 600,000 vehicles in the U.S. are being recalled due to a fault in the digital instrument cluster.

The company states that the 12.3-inch display installed in various Toyota and Lexus models might not power on during startup, resulting in a blank screen for drivers. Clearly, operating a vehicle without essential information displayed on the cluster is unsafe. Furthermore, if the failure occurs while driving, the likelihood of an accident or injury increases.

      Models Affected

The recall pertains to 591,000 vehicles from both the Toyota and Lexus brands. The lineup includes the Toyota Venza, Crown, Crown Signia, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry, Grand Highlander, Tacoma, and Highlander. In the Lexus range, the LS, RX, and TX are also affected.

In total, 15 different models from the 2023 to 2025 model years are involved. However, not every version of these vehicles is under recall; for example, only seven Toyota 4Runners and three Lexus LS500h sedans are implicated, while more than 33,000 Lexus TX and over 113,000 Toyota RAV4s are included.

The company plans to inform owners of the affected vehicles by mid-November. Toyota and Lexus dealers have been directed to check and update the instrument panel's programming or to replace it altogether with an improved version to fix the issue.

This is not the only recall Toyota has announced recently. Earlier in the month, it was revealed that 94,320 Toyota bZ4X, Subaru Solterra, and Lexus RZ models would be recalled due to an HVAC system that can enter failsafe mode, disabling the heater and defroster functionality.
