The buyer will need to thoroughly search the ruins of the Purosangue to locate usable parts.

A Ferrari Purosangue was involved in a severe accident and is now available on Copart.

This Italian exotic has a salvage title and is evidently too damaged to repair.

Some of the exterior damage may have been inflicted intentionally during rescue operations.

Seeing a Ferrari Purosangue parked in front of a luxury store is one experience; encountering one that looks like it’s been in a battle with Godzilla is quite another. Marketed as Maranello’s most versatile vehicle, the Ferrari features five doors and four seats, making it the supercar suitable for daily use.

However, driving it every day can lead to misfortune, which brings us to this particular silver Purosangue now on auction after an unfortunate incident with an unusual fate.

The vehicle in question is a 2024 Ferrari Purosangue in silver with a saddle leather interior. Unfortunately, due to extensive damage, it now has a salvage title.

      What Happened?

The Copart listing provides limited details, simply stating “all over” for primary damage and “burnt interior” as additional information. Based on the images, it seems that the Ferrari SUV experienced a severe side collision and subsequently caught fire. This is not an ideal combination.

The chassis of this high-riding Ferrari appears bent on one side, the front bumper is detached, and the long hood is noticeably misaligned. The situation worsens at the rear, where the tailgate looks to have been torn open, and the rear windshield is shattered.

      Fire and Aftermath

The partially burned interior suggests that firefighters may have forcibly opened the tailgate to access the interior, possibly to assist any occupants. Interestingly, the rear-hinged doors on the driver’s side seem to be undamaged, raising questions about whether they provided a safer exit than the flames behind.

Copart estimates the car’s retail value at $620,771, but no one would realistically pay anything near that now.

Potential buyers are likely considering this wreck more as a source of parts rather than a repair project. A few wheels appear to be intact, the side emblems and taillights may be salvageable, and even the exhaust tips survived the incident.

The critical question is whether the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine remained unharmed. Given its front mid-ship position, the engine might have escaped the worst damage and could be rebuilt with careful effort.

Despite the dramatic appearance of this wreck, it is not the worst Purosangue incident on record. Last year in China, another Purosangue met an even grimmer fate, ending up stranded with both its front end and V12 engine completely severed.
