The Ineos lineup has just become significantly more affordable, featuring a 9 percent reduction in the price of the Quartermaster.

In the United States, the starting price for the entry-level Ineos Grenadier is now $72,600.

After the implementation of Trump's tariffs, the base Grenadier's price rose to $80,500.

Similar significant reductions have been applied to the Quartermaster pickup.

Those interested in purchasing an Ineos Grenadier or Quartermaster will be pleased to learn that after several months of elevated prices due to President Trump’s tariffs, the British automaker has announced substantial price cuts for its U.S. offerings, coinciding with a decrease in demand.

Prior to Trump’s return to the Oval Office and the announcement of extensive tariffs in April, the Ineos Grenadier started at $76,700. However, due to the tariffs, Ineos had to increase the starting price to $80,500, a hike that didn’t last long. The company has now reduced the entry price by 9.8 percent, bringing it down to $72,600.

      Price Adjustments Across the Lineup

According to Auto News, the price reductions are not limited to the base model. The Trailmaster and Fieldmaster versions now start at $80,600, reflecting a drop of 8.9 percent from $88,500. These reductions mean that both models are now cheaper than their pre-tariff prices, which began at $84,700.

The Quartermaster pickup, which typically carries a higher price than the SUV, has also experienced substantial cuts. It is now priced starting at $86,000, down from $94,500, which is approximately a 9 percent decrease.

Earlier this year, prices for the Quartermaster had begun at $96,500 but were lowered to $85,500 before Trump’s tariffs took effect. Currently, both the Grenadier and Quartermaster are subject to 27.5 percent tariffs; however, a new trade agreement between the U.S. and the European Union will reduce this to 15 percent. Additionally, the Quartermaster incurs a 25 percent ‘chicken tax’ because it is a foreign-built pickup.

Ineos does not disclose sales figures, making it challenging to ascertain the impact that the temporary price increases had on sales. Nevertheless, the company noted that U.S. deliveries rose by 2 percent during the first half of 2025 compared to the previous year, suggesting that the effects of the price changes may have been minimal. It is likely that this increase is more attributable to heightened brand visibility rather than pricing strategies.

      Concerns About Falling Registrations

Nonetheless, more recent registration statistics tell a less optimistic story. S&P Global Mobility reports that new registrations for Ineos models in the U.S. dropped by 14 percent in the first half, totaling 2,468, and a more significant decline of 23 percent, with only 331 registrations in June. This downturn may have prompted the company to lower prices in what is still its most crucial export market.
