A breathtaking 710 hp supercar that boasts a vintage appearance yet was manufactured in 2021 is set to go to auction.
Ruf introduced the CTR Anniversary at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017.
Only 50 units were produced, and this particular vehicle is number 25, finished in Riviera Blue.
The limited-edition car features a 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine that delivers 710 hp.
Ruf’s Porsche 911-based models have always been known for their incredible power, but lately, they have also become notable collectibles. Earlier this year, an original Ruf CTR Yellowbird fetched $6.1 million, about 41 times its initial price. It seems that not only vintage Ruf models are now commanding hypercar prices.
One of 50 and Rarely Driven
What appears to be an older 911 is actually a 2021 CTR Anniversary, created to commemorate Ruf's 30 years in business, originally revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. With only 50 of these cars made, this one is expected to sell for between $2.8 million and $3.4 million, a significant increase from its original starting price of €892,000 ($1.018 million).
Scheduled to be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s during Monterey Car Week, this CTR Anniversary is the 25th of the 50 units produced. It is finished in one of Porsche's Paint to Sample colors, Riviera Blue, and has been driven for less than 200 miles.
Originally ordered by a resident of Florida, the car includes every carbon fiber option available. It is also equipped with a front-axle lift system, lightweight doors, carbon ceramic brakes, and Riviera Blue brake calipers. If a Singer 911 doesn’t appeal to you, the CTR Anniversary might meet all your preferences.
An Exceptional Interior
The interior is exquisite, featuring Kevlar-carbon seats upholstered in black buffalo leather with pepita inserts and Riviera Blue stitching. Additionally, it has matching Riviera Blue seatbelts, a black Alcantara headliner, and titanium pedals.
As for the engine, while Singer chose a naturally aspirated flat-six for its flagship DLS, Ruf has equipped this car with a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six generating 710 hp and 649 lb-ft (890 Nm) of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 224 mph (360 km/h).
If you have a few million dollars to spare and a fondness for carbon fiber and flat-six power, this could be your dream car. Check out the listing before someone else claims it for their climate-controlled collection.
