Newport Fisker has over 20 nearly new Ocean EVs available starting at $22,990.
A dealer currently has 24 Fisker Oceans in stock, with most showing only 50 miles on the odometer.
Newport Fisker is pricing the lightly-used electric SUVs between $23,000 and $28,000.
Fisker filed for bankruptcy in 2024, and the Ocean EV, built in Austria, is no longer in production.
Henrik Fisker’s vision of creating an electric vehicle empire to compete with Tesla crumbled last year. However, browsing through one dealer's website might give you a different impression. They list more than 20 vehicles in inventory with minimal mileage, and the website fails to mention Fisker’s bankruptcy or the potential difficulties in maintaining one of these EVs in the future.
The dealer in question is Newport Fisker located in Costa Mesa, California. Their inventory—first reported by Daily Revs—consists of 36 Teslas and 24 Ocean models, the only vehicle Fisker successfully produced before its financial downfall. Except for one model, all are 2023 variants, with most having just around 50 miles (80 km) on their digital odometers.
Prices are between $22,990 and $27,990, a drop from the original MSRP of $41,000 to $71,000 for the Ocean, making it a potentially good deal for a brand new EV—despite reviews indicating it had some flaws. However, this may not be enough to attract buyers who are wary of the bankruptcy implications, especially regarding how they would handle any technical issues in the future since there is no factory to provide support.
Fifteen of these EVs come in the premium One trim, which boasts up to 564 horsepower (572 PS / 420 kW) and achieves a sub-4-second 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) time, powered by a 106 kWh battery, providing an EPA-rated range of 360 miles (580 km). The streamlined dashboard features a 17.1-inch touchscreen that rotates between portrait and landscape modes on all but the base ‘Sport’ model.
Given the numerous recalls issued so far, anyone who decides to purchase one should prepare for potential issues. However, several users on Reddit who have bought similar Ocean models from Newport Fisker expressed satisfaction with their purchases and suggested that new buyers check YouTube channels like Ocean Views by MTN Ranger for advice on maintaining these EVs.
Remarkably, Newport Fisker is not the only dealer with a surplus of nearly new Oceans awaiting new owners. Lumin Fisker in Folsom, CA, has 26 examples, but their prices range from $30,995 to $37,495. Would you be willing to take a chance on a nearly-new Ocean if the price was sufficiently low? What would that price need to be?
