Referred to as the Ice Princess XF58, this six-wheeled automobile combines vintage style with a touch of absurdity.

Constructed using parts from Studebaker and Cadillac, it boasts outlandish dimensions and a glass canopy.

Mecum Auctions will auction this unique vehicle in September, but there is no price estimate at this time.

Among the most unusual custom vehicles ever created, few attract attention quite like this one. Dubbed the Ice Princess XF58, this fantastical six-wheeled design appears to have emerged straight from The Jetsons, yet it is indeed a real, operational vehicle.

Made from a blend of Studebaker and Cadillac parts, the XF58 first captured our interest five years ago and is now set to go under the hammer this September. If you find an average 1950s classic a bit too conventional, the Ice Princess might be the unconventional pick for you.

Created for unique car collector Larry Klairmont, the XF58 was built by Richard Fletcher and features four wheels at the front and two at the back. The front displays an iconic Studebaker nose with a round grille that resembles the rear of a jet engine. With two slender air slits on the front bumper and four round headlights, the front of the Ice Princess strikingly resembles the face of Sid from Ice Age.

Retro Design with a Sci-Fi Flair

The bodywork showcases a stylish two-tone blue paint job. Similar to the flying car seen in The Jetsons, the XF58 is equipped with a full glass canopy crafted in a modern double-bubble design. The rear is just as eye-catching as the front, sporting prominent fins and taillights that extend from the body.

Beneath its quirky exterior, the XF58 is equipped with impressive machinery. It draws power from a naturally aspirated 8.2-liter V8 engine, paired with an automatic transmission. Mecum Auctions, responsible for the sale, has not disclosed mileage information, though it’s likely the vehicle has not been extensively driven.

      Dazzling Inside and Out

The impressive theme carries on inside, as the interior of the Ice Princess is as eye-catching as its exterior. The seating and door panels are adorned with shiny gold upholstery, while the carpets are a vivid red. The steering wheel features a mix of white and gold accents, and five round chrome gauges contribute to the futuristic appearance.

It’s hard to estimate how much the car could sell for since no other Studebaker resembles it. However, if someone is truly interested, they might be willing to invest a considerable amount.

Whether you’re fascinated by unusual engineering or simply desire a car that looks like it could journey through time, the Ice Princess is certainly worth examining. While it may not take you to space, it will undoubtedly attract attention on the road. Check out the complete listing to see for yourself.
