Two drivers in New England exacerbated an already dangerous situation—racing on public roads—by crashing into each other, and they did so directly in front of law enforcement.

A recently surfaced video depicts two reckless BMW drivers maneuvering through traffic, culminating in a dramatic collision, all happening right before an NYPD patrol car parked on the roadside. Such videos have previously led to the arrests of individuals across the country.

The new footage shows a reckless driving stunt that takes a sudden, harmful turn. Two BMWs aggressively weave through traffic in New York and end up colliding with each other right in front of an NYPD cruiser.

This type of reckless driving was quite prevalent in New York some time ago. Over a year ago, a social media account named “Slow Benz” gained attention for showcasing drivers violating laws, driving dangerously, and mocking NYPD officers. In May 2024, police arrested 19-year-old Antonio Ginestri, accused of running that account. After his initial release, he was arrested again, this time for theft related to ATMs and handbags.

Since then, his account and others linked to it have lost much of their popularity. Nonetheless, they are still active. One recently highlighted on Reddit features two BMW M3s recklessly driving in traffic until the drivers misjudge their skills.

As a green car leading the duo swerves across multiple lanes, it enters the path of the trailing car. The space is insufficient, the brakes fail to stop in time, and a collision occurs.

The camera car crashes into a barrier, and the driver pulls over to the side of the road. The fate of the green BMW is unclear, though it seems to leave the scene. However, the police appear to have no trouble tracking down either driver, as an officer had a direct view of the crash from the roadside.

After some investigation, it was revealed that this video was initially posted by the Slow Benz YouTube account around eight months ago, titled “SQUEEZE TEAM TRYOUT GONE WRONG,” featuring this reckless driving event in higher quality.

The reality is that individuals like Ginestri will likely continue such reckless stunts until law enforcement takes decisive actions against them. Other states have demonstrated that effective detective work can yield results. In 2022, Carscoops highlighted Scott Kitfield, a man in California posting similar videos online.

A year later, police tracked Kitfield using a helicopter and ground units, observing him driving at high speeds. After a short pursuit, officers ceased chasing but allowed the helicopter to follow until he stopped. He was arrested immediately, and a year after that, he was convicted of fleeing the police, reckless driving, and participating in a speed contest.

Given our coverage of Ginestri and his associates, it wouldn't be surprising to see them face a similar downfall soon. Ideally, the NYPD will follow this example and put an end to such immature behavior before anyone gets hurt.
