On Tuesday, Bentley provided a glimpse of its EXP 15 "design concept" through some photos, offering a sneak peek at an all-electric model set to be officially unveiled in 2026. The company mentioned that the design took inspiration from the "Blue Train," a three-seater Speed Six from 1930. While that’s an interesting reference, it may come off as somewhat unconventional by today’s standards.
The brand refers to this as a “sporting sedan” concept, but it appears more akin to an extended hatchback. It doesn’t exhibit the classic steam-engine aesthetics of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, nor does it have the occasionally awkward proportions seen on the Toyota Crown. However, in its attempt to break from tradition, it seems Bentley has ventured a bit too far outside the usual design norms.
The company asserts that none of this is meant for production, so the intricate interior design should be taken with caution. I once transported luggage like that in my old Mazdaspeed3, but unfortunately, it didn’t complement the Metropolitan Grey Mica exterior.
Likewise, the exterior features are likely to be adjusted. Anticipate the removal of any elements that give off a strong supervillain vibe, particularly if they protrude in a way that could harm unsuspecting pedestrians. We’ll have to wait until next year for more detailed information or technical specifications. Stay tuned.
