Three streamers were taken into custody after being accused of damaging an F1 car.
The incident occurred during the British Grand Prix on the fan event held on July 4.
Police held the men for 15 hours before releasing them without any charges.
A Formula 1 car is designed to endure severe G-forces, high-speed turns, and considerable stress during races. However, it seems it can't withstand someone trying to climb into it at a fan event.
During the recent British Grand Prix, three prominent British streamers were arrested after one reportedly caused approximately £30,000 (around $41,000 at present exchange rates) in damage to a display F1 car, as per the Daily Mail.

The incident took place on Friday, July 4, while streamers AngryGinge, Chazza, and SamHam were creating content at the race. In a widely shared clip, Chazza, wearing a black T-shirt and hat, approaches a pink BWT Racing Point F1 car and starts interacting with it.
He places his right foot on one of the carbon fiber bargeboards, and shortly after, a loud cracking noise is heard. One of the streamers can be heard saying, “I think the suspension on the car has just gone.” Despite this, Chazza continues to climb onto the car, trying to get into the cockpit.
Interestingly, in a YouTube video shared by AngryGinge, no cracking sound is present, suggesting it may have been added in the Twitter clip or removed from the YouTube video.

Placed in Custody
Officers from Northamptonshire Police apprehended the three streamers immediately on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a vehicle. They were then taken to a police station 17 miles away and detained for 15 hours before their release. Authorities later decided to release the streamers without any further action.
“Officers conducted initial inquiries, leading to the identification of the suspects,” a spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police informed TalkSport. “Three men, aged 23, 25, and 27, were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a vehicle and placed in police custody. After a comprehensive investigation into the incident, all three men were released with no additional action.”
After their release, AngryGinge took to TikTok to express his frustration over the incident, appearing visibly upset by what transpired.
“For sitting in a car, they got us; you don’t do that at F1,” he said. “They locked us up for watching someone else sitting in a car – they locked SamHam up for watching someone else sit in a car. They locked Chazza up for sitting in a car, and they called it criminal damage, trying to say 30 grand…”
