This GMC Has Seen Very Little Use in 23 Years | Carscoops
With just under 8,000 miles on the odometer, this Yukon has experienced very little use since 2002.
You would have a difficult time finding a low-mileage Yukon in the United States.
Both the SUV's exterior and interior appear to be in good condition, although it comes with a hefty price tag.
It is powered by the original 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 285 hp.
These days, you never know what you might discover on used car lots. Alongside the typical selection of high-mileage vehicles and suspiciously modified trucks, there are occasionally truly surprising finds, such as a 2002 GMC Yukon with significantly fewer miles than most people accumulate in a single year.
This specific GMC Yukon, offered by Gangrud Nissan in Wisconsin, has only driven 7,944 miles (12,784 km) over the past 23 years. The low mileage is reflected in the astonishing price of $42,995. While we understand the appeal of low-mileage cars from the early 2000s, it’s hard to believe that any 2002 Yukon is worth this much, right?
The selling dealer hasn’t disclosed any information about the vehicle’s ownership or service history, nor the reason for its minimal use. They've also provided only a few low-resolution images of the Yukon, making it challenging to identify any minor imperfections it may have. Nonetheless, it appears to have stood the test of time and essentially presents as it would have when it first departed the factory.
The exterior is finished in a shade of Fire Red, showing no signs of wear, which implies that the Yukon has likely been stored indoors for most of its life. It also retains the original chrome front and rear bumpers as well as 16-inch wheels.
The interior seems to be in good shape, considering the vehicle's age. While the cream-colored leather seats exhibit some cracks and creases, there are no visible signs of damage, and everything looks functional.
Under the hood, this modern classic Yukon is powered by a 5.3-liter naturally aspirated V8, which produced 285 hp back in the day. While some of that power may have diminished over the years, the low mileage should enable the vehicle to largely reflect its original performance. It also remains practical, providing three rows of spacious seating.
Whether the near-showroom condition justifies the price depends on how much significance you place on originality and nostalgia. It’s a well-preserved example of early 2000s Americana, but at this price point, you’ll need to genuinely miss the era of large SUVs and CD changers. You can view the listing for yourself here.
