      This unique Range Rover features a 1993 body shell combined with a chassis from a 2004 Discovery.

      Powering the SUV is a 6.2L supercharged LSA V8 engine from GM, which generates 556 hp.

      Inside, you'll find a cream-colored leather interior along with a new aftermarket display.

      At first glance, this may appear to be just another Range Rover Classic, but a closer inspection reveals its unique aspects. Although it has a 1993 Range Rover body, the vehicle is supported by more contemporary components, which explains the notably short wheelbase. Created by Chieftain in 2017, this vehicle is slated to be auctioned at RM Sotheby’s Clivedon House in the UK this July.

      In constructing this distinctive Range Rover, Chieftain utilized the original 1993 body shell and fused it with the chassis of a 2004 Land Rover Discovery 3. They then shortened the wheelbase by 345 mm (13.5 inches) and incorporated several aesthetic modifications, such as 20-inch wheels, new modular bumpers, and custom side skirts. Although the proportions may appear somewhat unusual, they certainly contribute to a striking Range Rover.

      A new engine was also installed, specifically GM’s 6.2-liter supercharged LSA V8, which has been featured in models like the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Cadillac CTS-V, delivering a powerful 556 hp. This engine is mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission, with power supplied to all four wheels.

      After the completion of the build, this vehicle was test-driven and reviewed by various automotive magazines before being sold to its current owner in 2020. The original air suspension was subsequently replaced with Ohlins coilovers.

      During the customization process, Chieftain also made updates to the interior. For instance, it now boasts an aftermarket Alpine infotainment system and attractive cream-colored leather on the seats, door panels, and transmission tunnel. The Range Rover has also been upgraded with a push-button start feature. The odometer shows 1,104 miles (1,776 km), which likely reflects the distance since the significant conversion, rather than the actual mileage of the Discovery 3 chassis.
