A damaged Honda enters traffic, crosses a median, and crashes into bushes.

The confused driver seems to be struck by their own vehicle after the collision.

Even the best drivers can have accidents, and those of us with flawless driving records can make errors as well. Furthermore, it's possible to follow all the rules of the road and still be hit by another driver. This appears to be the case in a recent video circulating on social media from Las Vegas, where a Honda driver rear-ends an Acura driver and then seems to be hit by their own car.

The video was originally posted on a now-deleted TikTok account before being shared on various Instagram pages and Reddit. It starts with the occupants of the Acura exiting their vehicle. The Acura driver approaches another motorist to ask if they will remain to speak with the police after the accident, while the passenger, who is recording, captures the main events.

As they zoom out, we witness severe damage to the front of the Honda Accord. The airbags have deployed, the hood is crumpled, the bumper is shattered, and the fenders are bent as well. The driver appears confused and dazed as they exit the car and walk backward, attempting to close the door. Unbeknownst to them, the vehicle is rolling backward, leaving a pool of what looks like oil and possibly coolant on the ground as it moves into traffic in the wrong direction.

A Nissan Kicks driver skillfully avoids the Honda, and the confused driver seems to finally grasp what is happening. As they chase after their vehicle, the Acura driver tells their passenger that they need to exchange information because they don't have full coverage. When the passenger turns the camera back to the Honda, it looks as if the car has just hit its own driver, who is now on the ground.

The Accord then crosses over the median and into oncoming traffic before crossing the road and settling into some bushes. Fortunately, it appears that the driver, despite being dazed, is alright as they get up and move away from the roadway.

Ultimately, we cannot determine the exact circumstances surrounding the Honda driver. They could be experiencing a medical issue and are trying to manage the situation but lack the clarity needed to act effectively.

Regardless, we are relieved that it seems everyone, including other innocent motorists nearby, escaped without any further harm.
