GH Style provides the S-Presso with a rugged redesign influenced by the Suzuki Jimny.
A revamped front grille and round headlights alter the city car's look.
The Suzuki S-Presso, produced by the Japanese brand’s Maruti subsidiary in India, may not be familiar in the West, but it enjoys a dedicated fan base in various regions of Asia and even Latin America. Recently, an Indonesian workshop has modified the quirky little city car, making it, we dare say, a bit more intriguing.
GH Style's new bodykit revitalizes the S-Presso, drawing inspiration from the popular Suzuki Jimny off-roader. The most prominent alteration is at the front, where the original S-Presso’s headlights, linked by a slim black grille, have been replaced with a bulkier, Jimny-style grille.
Round headlights are now featured on either side, enhanced by matching daytime running lights (DRLs) for a more unified look. Additionally, the Suzuki is fitted with a new bumper that incorporates a blacked-out section housing a pair of yellow fog lights. And, as anticipated, the enhancements don't stop there.
While this modified S-Presso is not designed for serious off-roading, it does include flared wheel arches at both the front and rear. Coupled with black rocker panels and a new set of wheels with a white finish, it’s evident that the compact car is embracing a more robust aesthetic.
The rear sees minimal alterations but does feature an upgrade with a larger spoiler and a distinctive new bumper. The taillights and reflectors remain unchanged, which is perfectly acceptable; sometimes, less is more.
The main market for the S-Presso is India, although it is also available in countries like the Philippines, South Africa, and several Latin American nations. Featuring a modest 998 cc three-cylinder engine, the car delivers 67 horsepower and 66 lb-ft (90 Nm) of torque in its most powerful variant. While that may not seem significant, considering the car's light weight of just over 700 kg (approximately 1,500 lbs), it’s sufficient to make it agile in urban settings. With GH Style’s bodykit, the small Suzuki now presents a much more intriguing appearance as well.
