The muscle car was sold for a higher price than its original sticker, although prices have significantly declined from their peak levels.

Dodge produced only 300 Black Ghost Challengers based on the Hellcat Redeye model.

The scarcely driven 807 hp Hemi V8 muscle car was recently sold for $120,000.

The ‘Last Call’ editions of the Challenger, created by Dodge as a farewell to this beloved muscle car, possess key characteristics that typically make them highly desirable among collectors. Nevertheless, recent auction results indicate that some models are more sought after than others. The Black Ghost stands out, seemingly solidifying its status as one of the more desirable variants.

Dodge manufactured only 300 units of the Black Ghost, which is inspired by the powerful Hellcat Redeye model of the Challenger. The initial owner paid $104,865 to own one, and although the market for these vehicles has slightly cooled in the past year, this specific Black Ghost recently sold for $120,000 on Bring a Trailer, resulting in a $15,000 profit for its owner.

The Black Ghost model was created as a homage to the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE that was once owned by Godfrey Qualls, a notable figure who participated in street racing along Woodward Avenue in the 1970s. This particular Black Ghost was originally sold to FCA and used as a marketing tool before being sold to the current seller last year. It was auctioned with only 86 miles (138 km) on the odometer, a clean Carfax report, and a title from Michigan.

Like all Black Ghost models, this Challenger features Pitch Black paint with a white stripe at the rear. Under the hood is a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine from the Hellcat Redeye, delivering 807 hp and 707 lb-ft (965 Nm) of torque. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

Several other Challenger Black Ghost models have been sold on Bring a Trailer over the past year. One with just 12 miles sold for $161,500 last July, another went for $162,000 in October 2023, and yet another sold for $190,000 a month prior. While this specific Black Ghost did not reach those figures, it still sold for nearly double the price of a Hellcat Jailbreak Last Call that sold earlier this April.

It is evident that these vehicles are still in demand, despite some fluctuations in pricing.
